(((Hugs))) Jazee. Hope MiL is OK. Worrying times for so many people on this thread with ageing parents or OH :(

Rosie and I had a lovely long walk :D Sunshine, yet hardly a soul about! Meanwhile DH has sat in his stuffy mancave, breathing in propellant from spray paint, building model warships.

Now decluttering a quick cuppa before I pop along to Mr Al and Mr W Rose (got vouchers that I can use on things I need :money:)

    Hi all

HB we have a built in wardrobe which I think gets a bit of damp. My clothes that havent been worn for ages sometimes smell a bit funny, not terrible, but just a bit stale. It does seem to affect the side nearest the outside wall too. Not sure if that helps at all!

Gently flying, been back to the docs again, waiting for a scan now. Been to the paid stuff, done a little flying, cooking roast dinner. Off to set the table and stir the gravy! Waiting for DH and DS2 to get home.

    Morning all

Beautiful sunshine and blue sky here atm - looks like it's going to be another nice day, so hopefully I will get the towels hung outside to dry.

    My plan for today:
    - DH's car is being collected and returned by the garage that is servicing it, and the timing of that (3-hour slot!) will affect which SW group he goes to.
    - Levels 1, 2, 3
    - Extras: empty and clean drawers in main bathroom unit; S&S kitchen; QHI ironing (2 church tablecloths and 2 teatowels)
    - pancakes for lunch :D
    - Rosie's walk
    - family history research for my friend - I'm meeting her tomorrow, so need to have something to show her, and I didn't have much time yesterday evening after shopping and catching up with CTM
    - DH will be going to his model railway club his evening

Honey Bear, does your OH keep shoes in the bottom of the wardrobe? - if so, check them for nasties! If your OH's side of the wardrobe is on an outside wall or against/under a bathroom/toilet wall, check under the floorboards for leaks and damp.

(((Hugs))) to all, especially those coping with sick relatives xx

    Good morning
I’ve just emptied the house so no more excuses - kitchen and bathroom to be tackled. Although it is sunny outside, so I can’t promise not to be distracted. :o. Towels to go in the wm, I’ve cleared the QHI, so I had better get on.
Hugs, sticks and spoons for anyone as needed x

Tuesday Twinkles - Brighten that bathroom

    Level 1

    [STRIKE]Fling open the windows
    Clear the bins, remove empties
Flush the loo and squirt something down it to start the cleaning process
Fling the towels in the WM[/STRIKE]
Vacuum extractor cover and/or wipe Am I the only one that doesn't have a chance of reaching the extractor? Fortunately mine are extractor /lights combined so not fluffy grills but would be nice to be able to reach them

    Level 2

[STRIKE]Clear lotions and potions from around bath and scrub inside and out.
Prod a brush down the plughole to remove the ratty tails
    Polish the taps
Slug of bleach down the drain
Scrub the loo inside and out - and bleach it
Thoroughly clean bath taps and plugs - especially hair traps[/STRIKE]
Wipe shower head Can't reach 2 of them but have polished the one I can

    Level 3

    [STRIKE]Scrub the sink
    Polish the taps
    Dust sills and shelves
Wipe anywhere fingers linger with a clean cloth or an anti-bac wipe
    Mop the floor
    Polish mirrors
    [/STRIKE]
    Extras

Clear out a cupboard, drawer or shelf
    [STRIKE]Wipe light pulls[/STRIKE]
    Scrub tiles
    Clean windows
    HHI
    S&S kitchen

After only doing S&S yesterday I have no excuses not to get busy this morning. I have spent an hour in the bathrooms and wc. Going to see what else I can muster to get done, I have a heavy cold so can't visit sick relative so making the most of the time at home.

Apologies I haven't read everything or I'll sit here for ages doing that instead of flying. Byeee

(((Hugs))) Jazee for your MIL's health concerns.

I hope your scan appointment comes through quickly YL.

We're off to France for 24 hours tonight, so when we get back I'll look through your suggestions more carefully Kazwookie, YL and Ionafan. They're helpful, because I've been thinking the niff's coming from his clothes, and actually it's more likely to be the external wall, floorboards and/or shoes, none of which I'd really thought about. Thank you.

I've got a listy for today, some of which must be done before we go, some of which can wait until after we get back so I need to be careful with my time management today. The temptation is always to do the easy bits first, regardless of the deadlines. Must be more self-disciplined.
    Better is good enough.

Bon voyage, Honey Bear and Monsieur!

    Good progress so far:
    - bathroom nuked
    - bathroom drawers and cupboards emptied, wiped, and re-filled
    - breakfast eaten
    - kitchen tidy, DW started
    - towels in wash
    - daffodils in vases in DR and LR
    - DH's car was collected at 9.00 so he got to the first SW class on time
    - text and email conversation had with DS3
    - birthday present ordered for DGS4

Now must make a couple of phonecalls, then get on with family history :D

So this morning didn’t really go to plan. Not in a bad way, just that the kitchen is still a hovel. However, bathrooms are clean and sparkly as is our bedroom. It all started with the duster on a stick, and before I knew it, I was dusting Venetian blinds and removing mould from window panes. Plaster dust has got everywhere which doesn’t help.
It’s grey and breezy out now, so I have one eye on the washing outside whilst just finishing some paperwork. I’ve seen off a couple of tadpoles and inevitably discovered others lurking to take their place.
All in all though, quite a productive day.
Have a lovely trip, HB. I would also suggest investigating shoes - maybe not too closely though iyswim ;)

Hello all. Hope you're all ok.

DH is with his DM today. 400 miles.

Before the paid stuff, I did the dailies and did a quick sweep and hoover through the house. Since getting home, I've had lunch, read the paper and done another half hour paid stuff.

Waiting for a delivery now, so I'll see what I can get done from today's list.
Spend less now, work less later.
