Does your husband work for a national chain? If so can he enquire about a transfer to a closer store or sometimes there are other stores under the same umbrella group. Failing that if he can just job hunt for something closer. If your husbands store is ever recruiting apply and see if they can rota you on when he is not at work. Not good for time together but it won’t be forever and you would both have annual leave to take.

I work in retail and I second this. We would generally be open to taking on family members around shifts as long as it worked for us too.19/12/14: Spent 10 years of savings!!

He is working for a big company but there is not a closer store than he is not unoftunetly. We are trying to find something closer.0 -

We have no choice. We just can’t afford £120 a month as they were charging us. And yes we tried to shop around but most of them coming to £110

A 50 mile a day commute on your budget is crippling, the car and associated costs a month are £291 before you have even put fuel in the car. petrol is around £100 a month and £50 for maintenance. So that is £441, nearly 1/4 of your income.
We do not have money for a deposit and we moved here because the rent were £250
Cheeped than living closer to London so that is not possible atm.0 -
I am going to comment, but you may think me harsh.
You came here to ask for help, several folk have posted up suggestions and you (OP) have mostly knocked every single one of them back, with things like, 'it is not possible' 'we cannot afford it' and so on.
What more do you want, none of us can wave a magic wand and make it all go away, but we can suggest helpful things which you and your husband and explore further.
Your husband is in retail, so therefore he must know his shift pattern at least 1 week in advance, large chains work rotas 1 month in advance, therefore you can plan a job around knowing his shift patterns so he can look after the kids, supermarkets shelf stacking etc, is some where you can look, also explain you need a flexiable evening type job so your husbaand can child mind.
The first thing you / your husband need to do is to get your income up, several ways have been suggested..............for both of you.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Trust me I tried everything I sent my cv everywhere and nothing. The suggestion to move close to his work is not doable because we hardly can afford the food not even talking about the deposit and moving van etc. I thankfull for all the suggestions and I’ve taken in on board. I am just replying to people to tell them
What situation we are in. I didn’t want any of you to wave a magic wand I came here to ask for an advise and I’ve got it.
Not like I am sitting and doing nothing. I am job hunting and all.

If you have regular internet access, have you thought about doing online surveys to pick up so extra cash/gift cards. I have picked up £10 through Swagbucks in just over a month without trying terribly hard. Try looking at the beermoney subreddit on Reddit which has a good round up of all the survey sites especially if it's the type of thing you can do when the kids are in bed.
Also, do a benefits check at turn2us[dot][org] to make sure you're getting your full entitlements. There might be local parent and child groups which will do meet ups for cheap summer fun in your area and you might be able to swap play dates with other parents so you can pick up a couple of extra shifts0 -
Do you have anything that you can sell at - on local selling sites, also join the local FB freecycle sites lots of people offer on childrens clothing etc. Odd question this but does your husband when going to work go over the bridge and then back through the tunnel home? only if he does and you are this side of the Thames there is a local (to me) church that has a pop up Caf! in and they have free food - its there Tuesdays and Sundays and I think its run by the Vicars wife you don't need a voucher or anything. If you are and want more details I can supply you with them0

Month.
It's more a warning that unless you have gotten this payment plan as an ongoing thing, rather than just the arrears, you may get a big bill on your next annual meter reading
it's best to know.
Good luck, hope you get sorted!

20 a day would be at least £250 per month. Even if he only smokes 10 a day, that's still £125 per month that he can't afford. He is smoking cigs and I am not sure how much he is spending on it...
He needs to decide what is more important - you and the children, or sticking stinky tubes into his mouth.0
