I've posted this elsewhere but make no apology for reposting it here:-

was with Tiscali for 18 months with the only problem being that my connection speed was far less less than the UPTO claim.

HOWEVER!!!!! they then cut my connection for a week with no warning (in the end I believe it was planned exchange work) and that's when I when I encountered the true horror of their support network. Not only is it on a laughably pricey 0870 number (but obviously get it cheaper with the saynoto0870 site) but it was simply beyond rubbish.

    Never again.
wish id read this 2 weeks ago! im regretting going to tiscali for exactly that reason!? WHAT SUPPORT NETWORK??
If you want somebody you can trust...trust yourself

I know is is fashionable to knock Tiscali, but I phoned them for a MAC number on Monday morning. The only reason I will be leaving them is to take the TV,Talk and Surf package with Sky for only a about £5 more than what I pay for BB and phone now. I have been very happy with their service.

Got through in under five minutes, was told they would email the number as well as confirm in writing, also would text my mobile. I was amazed to get the text in under 2 hours and the letter has come today. Well done!

    Sky only £5 more?

Sky- See speak and surf is £26 right? + BT line rental = £37.50
Tiscali- Line Rental, Broadband + Digi TV - £19.99
  • I was with them years ago.Joined up as a telephone customer in exchange for free dial-up internet access then about nine moths later with absolutely no warning they dumped all of their line rental subscribers .They gave up the telephone game and left 1000s in the lurch in the process.

I ended up back with BT for the phone line and Pipex for internet access ,who are now part of Tiscali.

However I have just requested my MAC code from Pipex and about to go to O2 for BB .I've had enough of Pipex's 'fair usage policy' which on some occasions means 28kbs connection speeds.

They used to be a great company but are utterly useless now, particularly CS.
