Send a SAR to the DVLA too. This will confirm who has asked for your information, when and for what reason.

Don't forget, they have 30 days to respond. You are very unlikely to receive the information from your SAR to VCS before your defence needs submitting, but that is okay.

VCS are IPC members. Their Code of Practice is here: https://theipc.info/downloads. You want Version 6.

How are you getting on with your defence?

I Haven't got any yet only that the driver said that they were only 7 mins past the ticket time

No, they won't be likely to drop the case and you cannot not do a defence too.

You don't need to 'research' defences.

Just use bargepole's concise one from the NEWBIES thread like most people do (why not read some threads, people from all walks of life find this fairly easy, copy them!) and add your facts about grace periods and the fact you were not driving.

Show us that draft first.

I have just been and looked at the myparking charge website and the ticket was 13 minutes overdue. so the driver was wrong to tell me it was 7 minutes

Try looking on NEWBIE post #2 for Bargepole. OR do a search this forum advanced using the search term Bargepole in the USER field and change from threads to posts but far easier from NEWBIE thread.
