No you don't. That is assuming you get your act together and read the Newbies thread that KeithP linked.

When your head is less scrambled do what Red said. The Bargepole concise defence is an excellent example to tweak.

As Waamo says, there is a link to the NEWBIES thread in my earlier post - twice in fact.

You need to be reading the second post in that thread.

Yes please show us your draft defence.

Check the IPC or BPA (depends on the PPC) Code of Practice for grace periods but at least 10 mins grace after paid for time expires is the normal minimum and can be more.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD

I need to do more research for defense as the only defense at the moment is I was not the driver but the driver has said to me it was only 7 mins over the time.
Thats why I asked if there was a grace period

The mcol form is my response pack to say I intend to defend
and the other letter which I haven't sent yet is the data information one

start with the concise defence by bargepole

download and read the relevant CoP (BPA or IPC in this case) in order to read about grace periods that applied at the time of the incident

for a paid for parking event there are TWO grace periods in the BPA CoP, one before parking , to read the signs and obtain a ticket etc, not specified, plus one at the end of the parking period to depart, usually 10 or more minutes

VCS is an IPC member so read their CoP on grace periods as its probably different but should be at least 10 minutes as CM said above

ideally , you do the AOS online on the MCOL site, electronically, not by filling in the AOS reply form and posting it

as for the DEFENCE (with a C) form, you dont use that, you would email your final draft as a pdf attachment to the CCBC email address, as shown in the posts by KeithP

this means you do not post anything at all , its all done on the MCOL website, then by email
