Too true Katrina; I got a warning for saying someone was beyond reproach- that person had been abusing several others
    Isn't that a compliment...? ;)

    Indeed.

The comment was along the lines of- yes we’re all so and so; but you are beyond reproach

That thread got two posters banned on the employment board; one was a union rep with 30+ years of employment law experience. Mods don’t seem to care about quality advice; just play nice

Hope it was a temporary PPR.

There's a similar guy on the Pensions board, his PPR caused a furore.
    He was reinstated.

    MSE rules do state:
People who are on here to cause trouble will be PPR'd immediately. Yet we may be forced to do the same with usually-helpful posters, who get into spats or push it too far.

I know but, as I said, I'm uncomfortable with them being a moral guardian and, let's be honest, they are only becoming so because of political pressure.

No, it's not political pressure, it's commercial pressure from their advertisers, who are pressuring them to be a massively family freindly conduit to sell their wares, without their important brand image being tainted by allowing people to think for themselves.

They want "awww look at the fluffy kitten isnt' it cute - oh, and here's some toothpate you might like to try"

And not "here's a very complicated issue which has very deep historical roots with much wrong doing on both sides, but is now being hijacked by all and sundry to further their own individual policitcal and raically fueled agendas. Oh did we mention toothpaste?"
(Although I could be wrong, I often am.)

The PPR of the discussed member has not been revoked, and the employment board is a poorer place for it.

And Hollydays, - it amazes me, Mr Yaxley lennon wants his free speech when it suits him, but when people use it on their receipts he has to have a tizz on FB. manchild.

I love how to changed his name to make him self sound more British. What a d!ck! It's his own fault for not following the terms of service. If every far fight bigot deleted their Facebook, social media would be a much nicer place with less obviously BS being shared around. I'm not sure what it is, but members of the far right have a hard time fact checking, or even completing a simple Google search.

Freedom of speech does not mean consequence-free speech. The man is nothing but a thug and a criminal. Funny how he claims to be against child grooming, yet has active !!!!!philes in his follower base and doesn't say anything about the Catholic Church. Gee, I wonder why that is  And that time he hit on a 15 year old on twitter!

And he took it from a 'famous' football hooligan. Lovely chap is Stephen.

He is against child grooming when its people of other nationalities doing it, you don#t see him getting too upset about all the white folk who do, is he campaigning against that boy who killed that little girl on Bute? All the other horrible people of caucasian origin doing horrible things all the time? No.
