    what racism is being defended?

Think the whole point has been missed. In a world of virtue signalling and snowflakery it's to be expected I suppose.

You called Tommy Robinson a disgusting human being. So I called you the same.

I might have empathy with the man, and nobody asked you for your opinion. Perhaps I should have said something about your mom - would that have been OK?

Why do you think getting personal is ok.

I think 'Tommy' can look after himself, he doesn't need to to start abusing others on here.

I don't agree with his views, or his politics. I simply agree with his right to belive what he wants to believe.

The fact is that Katrina is able to have an opinion on it - fundamentally that opinion is, I suspect, based upon numerous instances of disgust (or similar reacts).

You parroting a response is pathetic. (note that's the action, not calling you pathetic).

Though no doubt Katrina doesn't need me to stick up for her. The point is that you got personal, when it was unnecessary.
I can't believe we have a two page thread defending racism and fascism.

Just to be clear - I'm pretty sure it wasn't aimed at me - but I don't defend racism. I think it's deplorable; I just don't think it's my position, nor the states, to tell me what to think.

Similarly fascists tend to block free speech, not encourage it. Certainly I cant be accused of defending that :)
  • No I'm not referring to you Comms, I'm referring to Mrs Yaxley-Lennon.

Er...someone called me a name - I called them a name back. Someone said I shouldn't call people names. I said that I did it because they did it. My name calling was quoted and called out, theirs wasn't.

If someone wants to call me a bigot I have licence to call them whatever. They may not be that, but so what? I don't care. They didn't care that I'm not a bigot, but chose to say it anyway.

Again Katrina didn't call you anything, and neither did I.

I didn't call out the exchange between you and holydays because that was tit- for-tat.

Surely that very simple distinction, between the two incidents, is obvious to you?

Literally there has been neither virtue signalling, nor snowflakery here.

Do you understand the fundamental elements of those terms?

I see all the time people shouting racism but those same people seem to not realise that religions are not races.
Its widely known that certain religious fanatics cause trouble but speaking out about them does not make that person a racist.

    No it doesn't.

Like saying Muslim extremists targeted tourist destinations. Fine.

All Muslims are terrorists. NOT fine.

Equally the headline could read "A B, a MAN, killed X number of people"

    Or A B, a Teenager

    Or simply A B

You see the twist that you miss is that labelling people isn't necessary.

so would you rather it was reported as someone killed someone so as not to define anything about age, race, gender?
