YOU are a disgusting human being who should be banned from the internet for missing the point.

I think you're missing the point on this.

Can I request you refrain from getting personal. It's perfectly possible to have a civilised discussion

Again, it's not about freedom of speech. It's about avoiding liars.
Can I just ask what exactly you know.

Tommy Robinson's Facebook account got deleted for, amongst other things, a post urging people to '...behead those who follow the Koran', according to the BBC.

If he did say this, then got banned, I'd have no problem with it. But it's not quite clear that they are saying that HE said it - it may refer to a third-party comment perhaps. I'm pretty sure he didn't say it - if he did he'd be back inside prison, wouldn't you think?

There's no screen shots to be seen but they are either lying about Mr Robinson or blaming him for what others have said on an open forum.
There seems to be a lot of speculation in the bits in bold.
So what do you know and what are you assuming/speculating/guessing/extrapolating?

...I'm uncomfortable with them being a moral guardian and, let's be honest, they are only becoming so because of political pressure.

Of course. They are the thought police and a bunch of grassers.

People are losing their jobs and getting put in prison for having made a seemingly innocuous comment. Speak out of turn and you might get targeted. Get photographed with the wrong person and you could get vilified.

You can't even know in advance what constitutes 'hate speech' these days - your intent is irrelevant as the prosecution can now decide what was in your mind when you said something, as in Count Dankula's prosecution.

Just watch it is all I'm saying.

Who are the liars in this case?

Facebook. They can ban whomever, but defamation is nasty.

I suspect that the statement by facebook - which I haven't seen - will be very careful in what it says.

But that is nothing to do with Facebook and is entirely to do with freedom of speech in the UK...

Now I agree that there are many prosecutions that shouldn't happen, and the law does need to be refined (or revoked), but again facebook aren't responsible for that

Why are you misquoting my post? You know, the one including the quote of someone else's post, which it is a parody of? So as the point isn't missed and I am represented accurately?

Did you say the same thing to hollydays, who started it? By calling me a bigot?

I'm not missing the point - I was making one.

I know as much as the BBC reported on the Tech section of their online news site.

Robinson banned for the reasons stated.

You have no right to parody it against me, I didn't call you a thing.

Thread reported. I think Stephen's mummy is getting cross.

But it wasn't hollydays' post that was quoted or referred to. Get your facts right if you're going to "have a go". ;)
