Parking (Code of Practice) Bill

Interesting facebook post from Steve Double, Member of the Parking (Code of Practice) Committee.....
Today in Parliament I was pleased to meet with Will Hurley the CEO of International Parking Community who coordinate private parking firms.

The conduct of private parking firms is an issue of growing concern in our constituency, particularly in Newquay. We had a positive meeting and have agreed to work together as the new Private Parking Code of Conduct is put in place.

Is Steve Double not well ????

There is only one place for Hurley and his Gladstones mate Davies and that is a term behind bars for the mega scam they set up.

All Hurley can bring to the table is SCAM

Difficult to believe that Steve Double has been sucked in ???

Comments needed over there to put him straight, I thought something like this would happen!
  • If you could furnish me with some facts, I'll happily put them to him. Of course it does have to be factual.

Or of course, leave comments yourself. He is quite receptive to social media.

So right, Sir Greg already knows about the Gladstones / IPC/ IAS scam but it's worth reminding him as the Hurley could make a mockery of his bill. Sir Greg needs a word in the Double ears

THE FACTS OF AN UNREGULATED SCAM
SIR GREG KNIGHT ALREADY KNOWS THIS

The IPC was set up by Gladstones solicitors

The IPC in turn set up the IAS which claims to be an
independent assessor similar to POPLA but in reality,
it is a method of rejecting appeals on behalf of the IPC
    members.

The members of the IPC were members of the BPA but
were lured into the scam of the IPC because they knew
that the vast majority of appeals against them will be
    rejected

    HOW THE IPC SCAM WORKS:
1: The motorist gets a parking ticket

2: They appeal to the parking company which is rejected

3: They are then given the opportunity to appeal to the IAS
    which is also rejected

4: Shortly thereafter, the motorist receives a letter from
a debt collector, normally DRP, who add £60 automatically
and threatening to take people to court ?

As you probably know, debt collectors involved in the
parking scam have no power and cannot take people
to court. At this stage, due to scare tactics, many people
will pay, mainly because the fear of a CCJ.

Whilst it is advised that debt collectors like DRP must be
ignored as they are powerless .... after a while it is passed
back to the PPC ....... the £60 is passed back as well, despite
DRP claiming they "act on a no win no fee" basis

If the motorist has ignored DRP, then there is no charge
to the PPC but still the £60 is added and passed on

The final part of the scam is that Gladstones solicitors
are instructed and then take the motorist to court and
adding on the DRP scam £60

The Gladstones scam goes in a full circle ??? A SCAM

    ======================================
Do Gladstones / IPC / IAS wish to dispute this, it's open to
public discusssion and EXPOSURE, maybe even ACTION FRAUD
    ======================================

AND STEVE DOUBLE IS HAVING COSY CHATS WITH THIS LOT ???

It's worse that that even. The IAS uses unnamed adjudicators who's experience and qualifications to make decisions is unknown.

The decisions they make are often completely at odds with court rulings and misrepresent previous rulings.

    Great point Waamo.

I see no reason why this scam should not be investigated by Action Fraud
