Been to docs, got my many meds updated or deleted, picked up prescriptons, all sorted for e's and whizz now. Beautiful day, so we decided to go to the cinema and watch Alita being as it's cheap Tuesday yes, even in the IMAX. In the dark, out of the sun...Obviously...?!
Still have a leg of lamb to cook, will do that for tonights delights. There are clothes to bring in off the line, I'm such a cleaning !!!!!!, I asked OH to put them on yesterday and said I'd take them off today, he said they'd freeze overnight, i said, no problem, they'll dry in the sun tomorrow..And they didIf I can find a way to put off housework, I will...
I've emptied the hamper my sister gave me for Christmas, everything is now in it's propoer place and the cupboards are groaning with all the extras I've been stocking up on, so we could probably quit cheerfully eat out of them for the next three months.
Seeds from Lidls have been bought and I have to get some compost for the start of sowing at the weekend. I love seeds, they're just packed with potential nice-foodiness...And I've got to check through my tomatoes to ort them out for sowing, and make a couple of nice patches for the parsely and chives this year. I don't tend to use chives a lot but the flowers are lovely and the bees love them.
Happy birthdays Lainey and Gers!! Have a top hole faboolous day
Nelski, it may comfort you, it may not, but I have found with certain people as they get a bit older they like a routine and god help anything or anyone who messes with that routine. One of my fathers friends is about 69 [father is 75 and not like this at all] but his friend gets really really upset if his routine is messed with, he must do certain things on certain days and gets totally out of sorts if he can't do them. Just weird....Anyway, good luck today. Holly, sounds lovely, I might have to do something similar, go to a local park or something, it's a fabulous day here, so sunny [doesn't half get nippy when the sun goes in though] .OL, my sister sends me pictures all the time of food she's about to have..but then, i send her pictures too, and we both love food like a brother so.... Love gnocchi, with a plain tomato and onion sauce and a ton of parmesan, with bolognaise, with pesto. Maybe a blue cheese sauce with some walnuts, or a pepperoncino sauce, see what I mean? Gers, are you blaming cake and champagne for getting to 65?Speky, just go and hug a random, they'll enjoy it
csarina, hope they can do something for him.
Wotcha absentees...
Tremendous Tuesday!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
I don't know, you turn your back and another birthday appears! LAINEY you kept that quiet earlier! Have a lovely birthday yourself too with mucho cake xx
We were a bit disappointed with our lunch today - not enough of it! But it was a pleasant way to spend the morning, sitting at a window table with the sun streaming in. In fact it got a bit TOO warm!
SR we detoured into B*n M*rche on our way back to the bus station and I got another pair of black jeans whilst they have them! This time I got the boot cut style in the next length up to go with my heeled boots. Hope you were in luck too.
I feel very lethargic this afternoon and I suspect it may be nana nap time.
Enjoy the rest of the day folks. Oh OL I almost forgot, my all time favourite sauce with Gnocchi is Gorgonzola. Highly calorific but oh so good! xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Lainey sorry I did read your post but it didn't register that it was yours too
Anyway - Happy birthday :bdaycake: I hope you too are having a lovely day.
PS am I the only one who has not tried gnocchi ??

Got some baking done today, mum inspired me to bake a brack. I managed to source a vegan recipe and tried baking with "flax eggs" for the first time. Hubby gives the thumbs up to the result. We had the left over soup for lunch and I whizzed up some hummus to go on the bread I baked yesterday. Feeling slightly starstruck that Jack Monroe or whoever runs her instagram account liked my photo of the said bread, which was her recipe.
The eldest has been chosen to step in and help the dodge ball team tonight as they are a person down. He's head boy of sports so I guess he's stepping into his role. So, we will probably have a light tea of beans on sourdough crumpets.
I went to do the school run for youngest and he was having a bad day. They were trying to get him back in the classroom but he was under a blanket when I arrived. He hasn't been excluded yet this week so it's a win.
I have not achieved any coursework. I might do that now if I stopped browsing posts on here!
Happy birthday to all the birthday people0 -
Hedgewytch, you could use chickpea liquid, I see you made hummus, as long as not salted water can whisk up instead of eggs or flax!0

My day has been really good - I've overdosed on cake and champagne (longing for bread and water tomorrow!), fed apples to two passing horses, opened some lovely birthday cards (including one from a teddy bear) and enjoyed some glorious sunshine.
My present to myself will be a new phone which I'll collect tomorrow. Got to do my spending before July when I will stop working!
I hope that Lainey also had a lovely day, got to make the most of these birthdays.0 -
Thank you Gers have had a lovely day. We went out to lunch at my favourite foodie pub, I had salmon with samphire followed by tarte tatin plus a large glass of wine so have spent the last couple of hours laying around on the sofa!
DOH gave me a big pile of requested books plus a bottle of L’Occitane body lotion so have been very spoilt, do like birthdays0 -
Lainey hope you had a lovely day, happy birthday
