Good morning everyone :hello:
It looks like it is going to be another nice day here, the sun is shining and it's not too windy. I will open the windows in a bit to get some of the benefit. Lee and Lilly have college today so I will hear movement shortly. Phoebe isn't working today so she will keep me company.


The visit from my sister went really well yesterday apart from the fact I had forgotten how loud she is :eek:. I had a banging headache once they had all gone but it was so lovely to see them. My niece had made me a get well card and bought me some flowers which was very kind and she loved the little bunny I had knitted her. I gave her and her sister the knitted chickens I had made as well so she was really pleased, especially as they had creme eggs in their wings. I have promised her a baby blue bunny as well so I will be knitting away again today.


I must phone my friend today, I haven't heard from her for a few days now so I hope she is starting to feel a bit brighter. She has been having the crisis team in twice a day so can't really go out on her own. I will wait till a more reasonable hour and give her a ring.

I am also hoping to hear from my other friend today as she has promised to try and visit this week. I know she is really poorly and can hardly ever leave the house so when she does make it over here it feels like a real treat. I feel the need to drink a cuppa and put the world to rights .

Thanks for the birthday wishes. :j It's my day for eating cake and drinking champagne, it's traditional in this house! Now I'm 65 years old, not quite sure how that happened. Age just creeps on relentlessly. Anyway, can't change it so have to accept it.

I hope everyone has a lovely and happy Tuesday too.

Just a quick return to wish GERS a Happy Birthday. Have a lovely day and lots of cake. I'm another Piscean but it's still two weeks before I gain another year!

The sky is blue and the sun has his hat on so living up to forecast.Washing in the wm so should just have time to peg that out before heading for the 9.30 bus to town.

Good luck with the jeans hunt SR. I got my black pair in BM but they feel a bit on the tight side! I seem to have gained half a stone over the winter with comfort eating but I refuse to take them back for a bigger size! Once I have eaten out today and again tomorrow it will be sensible eating for me!

Morning everyone,

I stuck to my good intentions and I went to the gym followed by my yoga class last night. It was really hard this time. Well, it always is for me as the most inflexible person in the world but I actually was embarrassed to have the occasional drip of sweat drop from my nose doing the downward dog or whatever. But, the feeling I get afterwards is very unique. I feel very happy, content and loving. I just want to give someone a hug. It's weird. I've also reached the milestone of going so often that the teacher knows my name, which for some reason I'm proud of.

Anyway, back at it today. Gym this morning although it was a bit harder to get out of bed. Need to leave at 5 on the dot today as I have the gas man coming over to have a look my noisy boiler. I think I'll go a run after he's been.

Got a message from my mum to say my step-brother has turned vegan to match his current girlfriend. Madness if you ask me, especially as he goes to the gym as much as I and will miss out on those much needed nutrients but I suppose he is trying to make his Mrs life a bit easier. Each to their own.

Well today is D Day.. will stevie 2 shoes do the full job or cry off as usual with 'they'll go another week' or 'there's not much to come off' etc. Hopefully now he has seen the problem with scoobymare's back feet he can sort it. I shall report back with this riveting information in due course;).

Bill and Ben ( the recycling men) were extra early this morning so will go an rescue the containers in a mo before they blow down the street. The food waste wagon will appear at some time no doubt.


Otherwise not a lot happening so Happy burpday Gers and hugs and spoons to those in need.


Its definitely an 'Oklahoma' morning....

Hi again have taken dd to school it was a bit of a rush this morning she hates getting up. Just having a coffee before I go out again. Happy birthday Gers. Are you doing anything special for it DH is messing on the stairs with a stair gate we got. We have had to move it. It’s to stop Boz from scaring Fifi he is really mean to her so she is upstairs most of the time he couldn’t get over it for about a week he very big and heavy but he has now worked out he can jump in the window and get over that way. Fifi has been so much happier she was just so sacred
