Are you getting all your info from google or do you have experience with the card readers that you linked to.
I know they go out of order when not connected to the internet, they may be able to work offline , that maybe depends on the installation
Yes, I found the information relating to one of the card readers that you referred to using Google but this doesn't mean that it's incorrect, unless of course you are saying that you are right and the manufacturers website is wrong.0 -

It is entirely dependent on the card reader.
The Transport for London system is entirely offline, with the payments reconciled at the end of the day/week. However, they need a significant database to store the information.
A standalone reader, e.g. on a car parking ticket machine, may not have any persistent storage or any software developed that will process payments later. Some will just fail the transaction when unable to make an online connection, others monitor the connection continually and will pre-emptively go out of service when the system is offline.0 -

that's why there is generally a £30 limit so that the Bank can keep control of those who might otherwise abuse the service.
Generally - yes, although with Apple Pay and Google Play the limit is more. I've been told that it's the same limit as your daily cash withdrawal limit from an ATM.
Yesterday I paid £257 through Apple Pay to a high street retailer.0
