Any attempt at a residents meeting or an official AGM are being dodged by the Building management company.
I think it is the nature of the site with a lot of leaseholders renting their apartments nobody is looking out for the current residents.
Then have an "unofficial" residents meeting to gauge the strength of feeling.
In all honesty, the management company will usually only deal with the owners on official stuff like policies and rules. If a lot of you are tenants then you wouldn't be able to attend an AGM, anyway (not sure if or why you are trying to get one now). What tenants can do is put pressure on/discuss the situation with their landlords.
I get your position as we have a lot of tenanted properties here. Are you a tenant or an owner, yourself?0 -
Just a tenant, you also have the added problem of a letting agent between you and your landlord.
We'll see how the claim goes and pass on any tips and pointers to the other defendants in the building.Even Richard Turpin had the decency to wear a mask!0 -
Just starting to write my covering letter, is there a template available or is it just a generic Dear Sir/Yours Faithfully type letter?Even Richard Turpin had the decency to wear a mask!0

This is my covering letter, any comments will be greatly appreciated.
In accordance with The Ministry of Justice civil procedure rules, Part 3, Rule 3.1 (g & h) I would like to consolidate the 2 claims made by Vehicle Control Services Limited into one claim.
I feel that Vehicle Control Services Limited are deliberately trying to make my life harder, raise my stress levels and make defence more time consuming.
This practice is also an affront to the UK legal system by wasting valuable judge and court time on trivial parking charge notices.Even Richard Turpin had the decency to wear a mask!0 -
Just read this on the Parking (Code of Practice) Bill

I also want to make a point about cost. According to a report published by the Transport Committee report in 2014, which I understand is still accurate, the DVLA charges £2.50 to process each request for information, but the processing costs the DVLA £2.84 per application, which means a deficit of 34p. We are effectively subsidising the private companies that are making the applications, and that surely cannot be right. I hope that we would make the charge the same as the cost, but, if not, we would surely charge slightly more rather than slightly less. The DVLA is having to cover a shortfall of £700,000 a year, which is 0.1% of its total operating costs.
They are scamming the good old tax payer! :mad:Even Richard Turpin had the decency to wear a mask!0 -
Government figures ??? can we believe anything they say.
Part of all the requests comes from the Police and councils which are given free.
That will increase with all the smart motorway cameras, restrictions etc etc.
I say private parking companies should pay £10 a pop0 -
I agree. I believe that probate costs are to increase massively shortly, planning application costs have gone up, court fees for CCJs wrongly issued by the courts), cost £255, why should the scammers be fed a free lunch? You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0

the £2.50 cost was for PAPER applications , electrinic ones cost the DVLA micro coppers
how can u have the £2.50/£2.74 argument next to the DVLA makes XXXX million from enquirers
the DVLA massage the press to keep them happy0 -
Didn't like my first draft of my covering letter. how about this one?
In accordance with The Ministry of Justice civil procedure rules, Part 3, Rule 3.1 (g & h) I would like to consolidate the 2 claims made by Vehicle Control Services Limited into one claim.
I believe that Vehicle Control Services Limited should have combined any claims, and are carrying out the practice of willful default against me.
This practice is also an affront to the UK legal system by wasting valuable judge and court time on trivial parking charge notices.
I would also like to state that I believe that VCS Limited are acting as a ‘vexatious litigant’ by using an automated claims procedure or Roboclaim to fraudulently take money from me.Even Richard Turpin had the decency to wear a mask!0 -
Just shooting the breeze here, what would be the legal ramifications of making my own parking permit? With the wording something like:
Valid Parking Permit/Ticket
I have signed no contract nor given my consent to any charges against this vehicle
Reg: XXXXXXXX how ever caused.
Anything attached to this vehicle without prior written consent will be removed, by force if necessary and will incur a removal fee of £XXX payable on demand.
