Yay for drag queens!!!! Unfortunately I don't know of any here - bit sheltered compared to Blackpool lol!!
I've been chatting to my ladies too and always say hello to people I see when out and about (you never know - they could be potential customers). I have a young son in a buggy so quite often ladies will stop and see him and I tell them how I'm getting fit doing my Avon round - picked up a new customer that way hehehe!!
I know what you mean about meeting new people though as when I'm out and about I get loads of people waving at me as they drive by; obviously some of my customers but I don't recognise them so just wave back and smile!
Well done anyhow; I'm only on my 3rd campaign so people are just getting to trust me I feel.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

For peace of mind I have just called the Revenue and, yes, they do need to know of any change in income but due to the small amount it won't be affecting my tax credits at all. I had to give a rough estimate of how much I expect to earn for this current tax year too.
So, for anyone unsure as to whether to call, it's up to you but I like to have a clear conscience!!!
Thanks !!!!!! here for drawing this to my attention!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Asked this before but not really had a response - does anyone who is an avon rep do calls at flats? The street I stay in is all Flats - theres hundreds of potential customers but accessing the flats on regular basis is a problem? Added to fact, I'm deaf, and cant really use a intercom system.
Any ideas how to get round this? Leave posters/books at doors? Really would appreciate a reply/some tips:j Debt-Free-Wannabe! :jDeclutter/Ebay/Savings0 -
I tried my complex of 105 flats and didn't have much luck at all. People wouldn't leave the books out, I couldn't get anyone in the whole block in etc. In the end I just put a note in to each letterbox telling them that I was a rep and to return the note to me if they wanted a brochure. No one ever did. I think I had about 4 customers that ordered now and again.OD Girls On TourBarcelona 2008 - Dublin 20090

I'm thinking of doing a newsletter as suggsted by other people, I've never done anything like this before and I was wondering if anybody had any tips as to what kind of things to put in it? Should I simply list all the offers and freebies or should I introduce myself, talk about things happening in the area etc?
Thanks in advance! Think happy & you'll be happy

Oh I haven't been on here for AGES. and you are all doing really well!
I so need to make some money here people!
I e mailed my AM a few weeks ago to ask if I could expand my area? and she hasn't answered me,
should I just do the houses any way?
I mean at the moment I get about 5 customers from work if I am lucky, and my boss thinks it lowers the tone!!! charming little man.
so opinions please?

P.S I like the newletter Idea, I did one for my first few books, worked really well.
I included special offers, new products and stuff I liked/recommanded, with pictures and page numbers, ooo and an explanation of how to get the best deal.
and there are flats at the bottom of my road, I was just going to put up a poster in the door to "warn" them and perhaps leave my e mail address, not a main one obviously - i have an avon one specifically. They can mail me if interested, or maybe a phone number? I don't know, they are both open to abuse but the flats look like they are full of old people?? hmmmm needs more thought perhaps.
