:oRight am back again with yet more trouble!

Today my order was supposed to arrive, as it is my delivery date and ordered in time.... and it didnt arrive.

Rang the courier, they didnt have it... then rang AVON, wish i didnt. They werent very helpful at all.
Bear in mind this was my first campaign, i got a total of around £270 orders, so was quite happy with that. Rang up AVON to be told be an automated service that i owed them money and they were not releasing anything untill that was paid.
Spoke to an advisor, who was very blunt and told me that i needed to pay them £100 before they would release my orders as i have gone over my credit limit as it was my first order (fair enough) and i understand why they do this, so was more than happy to pay for the order... but now i am late for customers.

Thanks for this emzeebabez - I read it just after I placed my first order which was over #300. This made me expect a problem before it arose and I rang my AM. She didn't answer either - so kept texting her until i got an answer! And then, she left a message on home phone (don't know why cuz I gave her my mobile no. for contact) to say I needed to pay a bit now.

Rang Avon and paid what I needed to over the phone, rang them again later to check they had received payment. Because I was expecting the problem, it got sorted straight away and so my order is being delivered on time tomorrow. :)

hi. i'm new here but have been an avon rep for almost 2 yrs. is this a new thing then, this credit limit on first order? because my first ever order was for over £600 and i never had to pay £100 to avon upfront?

They run a credit check dont they, thats why the ask for a deposit if your order is bigger than your credit limit

    Hi everyone!!

Yesterday on my way home from work a lady stopped me and asked if i would like to become and Avon rep and i said yes so i have a load of books and some paperwork and i have a meeting at 10.30 on friday.
I have a few questions, Can i start selling now or shall i wait till after my meeting on friday??
Do you have to go canvessing or can you just sell to friends, family and neighbours??
And last but not least is it fun??

Yeah its fun till you find you are constantly missing bits and pieces each delivery as I seem to be and don't receive the free gifts you are promised.

Plodding on with it though as I also use it to show my 13 yr old daughter how running your own business works. Part of her home education.
    Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £60

I'm so pleased with myself! I've seen my Area Manager today and she was sooo happy that i'd gotten £220 worth of orders in my first week, I had no idea if that was good or not but she said it is.

I'm going to go down the Sales Leadership route as well, sounds really interesting and I'm not working at the moment so I can give it a lot of time.

Ooooh i'm so excited by all this, so glad I signed up now!!
 Think happy & you'll be happy
