Avon - Hints and Tips?

Hi there, I've just started Avon last Tuesday and am back ordering using brochure 4. I haven't had much joy with orders (only £50) but am using this time to get to know customers and hopefully gain their trust so they know I'm not about to disappear.
I'm going to split my roads in 2, do one lot on one brochure one campaign, then the next campaign leave the first lot I did but do my second set of roads with the brochure I had for the first lot of customers. Well, that's the theory anyhow - I just felt once every 3 weeks is too frequent to order.
Planning to do a newsletter for my customers too to build up the relationship.
Just wondered if anyone has any thoughts on my cunning plans!!!!!!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Have jsut checked and my invoice isn't yet through - but account balance is showing as in debt £146.43, didn't think i would owe them as little as that, cos ordered two campaigns worth of brochures, sample starter kit, £7.50 admin fee, all sizes of paper bags. And my customer order total is £180, maybe some items where out of stock?
Thanks :cool:0 -
The difference is the commission, i.e. your earnings. Well done !Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

Hello Everyone
I have juat started Avon this week, I always used to be a great customer, but my rep never lasted, so I decided to start up myself.
I have found this board great, I have managed to get about £150.00 in my first campaign, and I have bought stationery and samples too. I am looking at ways to gain more customers, do you have to have permission to do the street you live in?
I have done a few customers in the place of work so any further hints and tips would be great??
Thanks!0 -

The starter kit doesn't get charged until your next campaign.
As for the £180 is that your total order? They take of the commission, so lets say your total order is £100, and your commission is £25, you only need to pay them £75 - the rest of the money you collect is yours. If that makes some sort of sense? i'm tired of unpacking and i'm hoping this hot chocolate will give me an energy boost0 -
I looked on my invoice and sample kit is charged half this invoice, half next. same with the avon fees thing.
Ive made a grand total of £5 profit this month! Rest of profit was spent buying a few products for myself and some samples and bits n pieces to get started with.
Next few campaigns should be better, looking forward to doing it properly, and will begin to canvas my area, brave all the flats!
For people who live in flats, any idea how u would like to be approached? if at all?:j Debt-Free-Wannabe! :jDeclutter/Ebay/Savings0 -
I have built up 20 - 25 regular customers in the territory that I have been given but would like a couple of extra streets.
I rang the area leader and she said she would have to go to the lady above her and get back to me.
Have heard nothing. This was a few weeks ago.
Wondering if its just worth putting a few books in the street I was thinking of doing just to see if any rep is already doing it?
What do you think?Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -

You could try and ask a couple of people on the street if they receive reg avon books, that way you've got info without starting turf wars. I've been asking about a road next to mine, I lived there for 6 months and never received any avon books, but my sales leader says that the people in the know have someone down as doing it..

This is going to sound really daft, I've just been doing my order (£188 not bad for a scaredy cat) and have been ordering the bags, are the plastic ones 6p per bag? It seems very steep so have ordered one to look at it and ordered paper ones. Seems more environmentally friendly on the whole.0
