Am i correct in thinking that there are two systems running in Avon?
The old type Avon Managers who are responsible for a certain area and recruit and allocate territory within that area and the new Sales Leaders who are self employed and can recruit from anywhere across UK and whose agents aren't given a territory?
I'm thinking about joining but someone(who isn't an agent i hasten to add) said about the two systems and i was wondering if its true?
Many thanksWe love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!0 -
Hi Peter Pan
As far as I've understood it, the Sales Leaders work 'under' the Area Managre and are usually responsible for the recruitment and looking after new reps. But that said I was recruited by the Area ManagerApril 2021 Grocery Challenge 34.29 / 2500 -
I was thinking about selling them separately? As I know a few people who wouldn't want to order but would like to be apart of the draw.
I've done the following flyer, its A6 in size so I could get 4 to an A4 sheet.

Im at the stage now i can take on more streets to improve my earnings as i work nights so free in the days to canvas. Upon calling my 'sales leader' to get more streets she is incredably reluctant to give me any more with a very confusing reason/s which were 1. i cant give you more streets because i need to keep up sales figures?????????????? 2. its not fair on new reps ??????????????? 3. I do one half of a street which crosses a main road so i asked to do the rest and she then said its not her area its another sales leader...
Well im confused surly im proving myself by earning money im assuming she gets some sort of commision and im eager to take on more..... why is this a problem? what should i do? should i email avon direct about this? canvas streets without her permission but i obviously dont want to step onto another reps patch
Help please
Thanks for reading
I had a phone call off avon and they asked me how i was doing and everything and at the end of the convo i said i wanted to do more streets and they said right we will email your aera manager and tell her, then a few days later she phoned me and gave me 4 extra streets so its worth a phone call.0 -

I signed up with the second type of sales leader who "bought" my details online. I have no set territory so sometimes agents who were signed up in the other way sometimes cross into my territory accidentaly. Customers generally stay loyal to whoever they first order from. HTH.0 -

This is what is worrying me, surely if you are signed just as a retailer you need a set territory where no one else is going to drop Avon books, its unfair if someone is recruited in your street and not given a territory so overlaps with you - this is sounding as though its following the Kleeneze routes, lots of agents all fighting for the customers who will order, customers getting fed up with different agents constantly dropping the same books.
With Kleeneze we had to move out of our area to retail cos there were already several agents there, so it cost us more time, travel etc to find our own customer base and it eats into your profits.
I was seriously considering joining BUT have reservations now.
lazarou_true;8721343 - if you don't have a set territory but other agents are given a territory its surely you that has stepped accidently onto their territory? they don't have a choice if they have been given an area - i find this very disturbingWe love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!0 -
My wife has seen the sales leader folder, and it does look like a pyramid scheme to me.0

The difference is that there is a physical product involved. With pyramid selling, there isn't.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

I'm not interested in the Network Marketing side (been there, done that!!:D) but i just want an extra income and was looking for a Company who has territories so you can really look after them without them getting fed up with other books, both my daughter and I love cosmetics but it looks like even Avon has been bitten by the Networking bug, territories will go out of the window and it'll be a fight for customers just like the other Companys. This isn't about treating your agents right or servicing the customers - its about profits and i though Avon was different:mad:We love what we are doing and we love why we're doing it!!0

So, with this new way, is there any way I could get a different sales leader/ area manager to last time? Just as I'm considering this, but not if it'd be with the same lady.. :SOn the up
