I would definitely set up a separate email account melvis!
I made a list of all the tips and tricks when I read the way through. Do you think it would be a good idea for me to post them all in one post and should we set up a part 2? Because it is kind of a long thread now, at 105 pages there's a lot for newbies to wade through.
Let me know what you all think to that.
Sign up number 4 booked in for tomorrow afternoon :j I nearly had number 4 booked in for this evening, but she actually ADMITTED when I went round that she'd ripped Avon off once before!!!!! She wasn't on the delinquent list or anything. I suppose I'd rather know before wasting any more of my time, but still. :mad:0 -
I'd be very grateful if you could post the list of tips. I only have one day off work to go through them and that's tomorrow  Perhaps set up a Part 2 and have the list for the opening post(s) as a starter point for us newbies
I'll set up an email account now then that's one thing off the listSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0 -
I think a part 2 would be a good idea, and a list would be great!
I just sent an email round work about the new book, and have been told I'm gonig to get into trouble for it because someone already does it...I've been here 3 months and have never seen one! Quite annoyed now actually0 -
Do you think its worth signing up my other half and then me working his account too so that I can get the sign up bonuses?
I always seem to get orders over £300 now, so If I split that bettween the two accounts I will still get my 25% plus I'm not all too bothered about presidents club atm.Proud to be dealing with my debts

Yes, Silver & Vicki, I think that's an excellent idea - it would be good to have a concise list of tips. :T'Better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake' Elliebee's Mum

Have had a look thru the first few page of this thread. Been doing avon since Feb and I think these tips are all pretty good:
keep good records of customers and what they buy, and you can then concentrate your efforts where you'll get the most return
most fruitful way of selling was through the workplace - try and get managers permission first to avoid any trouble in bigger workplaces? (offer a share of any profits - ie in my work we do this with another co - any funds are for staff xmas party)
would put the brochures through the doors in a freezer bag, with a note saying if they didn't want to order then leave it on their doorstep on such and such a night.
When ordering, because you are usually running two campaigns at the same time, some things will be cheaper in one brochure so by ordering smartly you can maximise any earnings.
engaging in a bit of conversation with the customer. This means that when you give them the brochure with the delivery you can draw their attention to any special offers etc.
have half your customers on the current brochure and half on the one behind, that way you are using your books twice.
order everything online
mention avon to everyone you know! Friends, family seem to be great for ordering
are to fold down certain pages to highlight them in the brochure and to put a note in the top box to say a freebie for orders of £20 or over, and then I'll buy an item for £1 or under (so you soend £1 to gain £4 or more commission)
Save up bits and pieces from special offers and freebies
Do a reccomend a friend offer.
Offer mystery free item or a certain product free when friend spends x amount.
Include your email addresss for queries and late orders
looking through the customer order and cross referencing it with the book to check that the customer has not missed out on an offer with a product they have bought, if its 1 and 1 free or they have ordered something which is cheaper in a set, order the extra and write them a note on delivery stating the reason for the extra items.
dedicated email address for avon orders
Any complaints if I start a new thread with these tips and take it from there? Any other ones or amendments would be good. Anyone doing Parties have tips and maybe have a second post in thread for tips about them?:j Debt-Free-Wannabe! :jDeclutter/Ebay/Savings0 -
I do parties - I'll happily add tips to the thread. I'll also consult the list I made for further tips.0

Perhaps this thread should be closed down now that the new one has been started, just have a link on the new thread pointing back to this one so it doesn't get lost, and people can still read it all if they wish.
