There seems to be a lot of new people on here who are going straight into Sales Leadership. Congratulations and Good Luck. Is it easy, timeconsuming or complicated?

As someone who was a rep then sales leader I'd recommend being a rep first, as how can you train your own new reps when u haven't doen the job yourself? Just my opinion but I like the way I did it as I always have the answers to my reps questions without having to ask anyone else xx

Julia from Avon is coming to "get me started" tomorrow morning at 11.30 :D
She said that C14 orders have to be in next week so she's going to start me on C15 to give me more time as orders aren't due til 6th October :p

Very exciting! I am happy for you. I was so excited and so eager to be signed up last week so know exactly how you feel. I also started on C15 for the same reason, I had about 5 days to get in c14, now my first order is due on 23rd Sep, I am so excited to place my first order, and to receive all the goodies as I have placed a large order myself.

My sales leader is coming over thursday with a few more brochures for me, and hopefully my account number so she can show me how to place my first order!

  • I signed up with 4 days to go on camp 14 and managed to get £250 worth of orders.
I gave the customers a new book when i delivered the goods and already have a good few orders back.
I'm loving it, just not the bloomin rain.
I also got my bags from home bargains, 30 for 79p.
The hello tomorrow mag is very addictive you just want everything lol.

  • Hi,
That's my SL just left, so I'm all set. Can I just ask how you do the orders at work? Do I just put a bundle of order forms in, and ask people to hand them to me, or get them to email orders? Also, do I put my name on them, or for OH's work should I put his?
    Thanks
    Vicki

Well, I am declaring, the account in OH's name is going to be 'worked' mainly by me, until Xmas, although he will be helping me out a little. I think it's no different from having a car or phone that you use for work being registered in your partner's name. I haven't checked that out yet but if not, no biggy, he can just put it on his self-assessment! In any case, there's so much you can claim back on that it's unlikely that it would be a big issue anyway. There'll be little or no tax to be paid.

Vicki, yeah, just put a bundle of forms in! If people at OH's work know him just put (for example) Clive at ext. 534 or call Vicky on 01234 567890. I would have an email addy for people to use as (in theory) they are more likely to order there and then, and because it makes everyone's life easier.

I'm going to have to re-read all these pages for tips tomorrow I think and make a note of the valuable ones. I think I will set up an email account just for Avon so I don't lose any orders in the masses of junk mail that I receive to my usual account!
