  • actually I have a question i wondered whether anyone can answer me...
in HT where you can order sales aids etc etc...
I bought some large paper bags - and got some small ones in with the starter pack so I know what sizes they are, but I am curious as to what the plastic carrier bags are.... i think this is gona sound really stupid cos ive just realised whilst typing this that they are probably just white carrier bags with the purple logo on.. ? is this right??
I was just wondering what all you lot use to hand your catalogues out in?
you know, incase ppl leave the catalogue outside in the rain etc...
I currently use medium resealable freezer bags from Tescos which last quite well before getting too tatty, I just wanted to know whether people have found anything else thats slightly cheaper? I think the bags i buy are just under a quid for is it 25 bags? i cant remember :S) only thing is that the bags are a bit big really.
are there any bargains in the shops or on ebay?-- or are there even avon branded ones that are a suitable size for the catalogues?
  • Evening ladies,

Just an update, I ordered some business cards from Vista print and a stamp to use on my order forms/books. I am investigating a little cul de sac up the road for new customers, although I am not sure the Avon super rep doens't do it too.

but hey I am carrying on! was going to jack it in but am going to do a classifed ad like Rage and see what happens.

must read back through the thread and nick any good ideas :)

    xx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Tesco do a pack of 20 medium sized zip lock type bags for £1.29. I put my books in them. They are bigger than the books but do the job fine.

i went on to ebay to get some bags and i got some resealable cellophane ones that would fit a C5 envelope, they are the ones that greetings cards sometimes go in. they fit perfectly and cos of the finish they look so proffessional, i think i paid £10 but i got 400 and they are resusable so its worth it. i used to use the tesco ones but when i picked up my orders and looked at the books in those bags next to the other ones i couldnt believe the difference, they looked so good in the new ones and my sales have picked up too!
