  • Hi all,
I'm thinking of becoming an Avon Rep and I'm just wondering what outgoings you have? I know you have to pay £15 to start with but do you have to pay anything else? Do you have to pay for catalogues etc? I just want to check I know of all the costs before I join. Thanks

You have to pay for your bags that you package all the deliveries in...(but they last ages and don't cost the earth)

You also have to buy your brochures each campaign.

This costs me about £6.50 each time but i could make it cheaper. I like to have one book for each of my 25/30 customers..........saves me loads of running about :D
    Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £60

    Hi

You do have to pay for the books but they come out of your earning so you dont pay up fron, they arent very expensive and they get cheaper the more you buy. in fact its better to have more anyway cos it makes the job a lot easier to do.

Got my avon delivery today. I had ordered 3 packs of brochures, what have they sent me? 3 books! Yes three single books! But have charged me for three packs. Nice

    How rude!

I'm still a bit peeved about when they sent me the wrong books and then even had the cheek to say that I had ordered the wrong ones GGRRRR. So I told them to check the invocie and I received no apologies or anything and was told it would take 7 working days to get the right items to me. So I've just boycotted C13 :)

    Hi Rage,

Can i just ask what the ad was for and what did you say on it?

    Hi Gemia

It was just a classified ad on e-bay and I copied mostly what other people had said. Free P&P on orders under £25 unless it's bulky/heavy and then I will give them the price for royal mail, £5 p&P on orders over £25, samples on request. I didn't put any mobile number and just my e-mail address. Quite surprised I have a bite actually but there you go!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D
  • i put an ad on ebay and got nothing!....oh well!!
  • Hi all!

I've been reading this thread for about 3 months now and thought it was about time I said Hi! lol.

I've been an Avon rep since C9 and love it. I have a territory of about 300 houses and 80 - 90 customers. My ASM has just given me another road of 40 houses so hoping I get a few more customers.

Will be submitting my C13 order this weekend and currently it's on £415 plus one more definite order :-)

My orders are normally between £350 and £500 but hoping for some more at Xmas! I've got a good territory luckily and some lovely customers!

Anyway, end of my essay! lol
  • I just noticed someone mentioned about samples, dont bother with samples unless you know your customer base first and know what sort of things they buy!
Then only give samples to customers that have placed an order! To encourage them to buy it.

Dont waste your money on them otherwise because they really are not worth it!

Whoevers ASM told them that reps buy everything out of HT - take no notice ASMS earn a huge chunk out of what you order including products from HT! Only order what you will use yourself dont get left with loads of stuff you will never use!

bunneycat you should be able to download issues of HT from the website from the downloads section ;) I did have it on my laptop but it got deleted this morning when i reinstalled old laptop after i bought the new one otherwise i would have sent it to you!

Please please remember to not take every piece of information your ASM gives you as gospel - there are some very good ASM's out there but there are also some very bad ones too, the more they get you to spend the more money they are earning from you!

Seen as I was boycotting C13, I've still ended up with £200 orders :D

It was really quite at work yesterday so I walked around the warehouse and just ramdomlly started asking people if they wanted a look on their break.

Its good because I have my own office so I told them all to come and see me lol

I wish I had done all my streets now, but it would have been impossible with only 10 books :(
