Ha ha. I told a friend about Mum losing her car in B&Q. He admitted going there in his Audi, then coming out & searching high & low for his BMW which was at home.0 -
I once spent 5 minutes in a supermarket carpark trying to get into my car and cursing why the keys weren't working in the lock. I then looked up and saw my car (identical to the one I was trying to open) parked next door.
On holiday we had flown into Australia from NZ with my sister-in-law and her husband and went to the airport car park to pick up their vehicle (which was pretty inconspicuous). They searched 6 of the 7 car park floors before going to the chap on security who said rather dryly "have you tried the ground floor where you parked it?" (The only floor they hadn't checked because they were adamant they hadn't parked it there)May you find your sister soon Helli.

Car theft is actually pretty rare these days, especially if your car is modern.
Not round here.
The biggest growth industry here is supply & fitting retractable drive security posts.
There is a even beaverback going round stealing cars off drives. A couple of people have it on CCTV. It is quite an unusual colour, but it is equipped with cloaking technology as it cannot be found by the Police (Presumably it has to de-cloak to winch a car on).I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

Was it keyless entry by any chance?0

Long story but many years ago I had a Datsun whose key would open to my knowledge 2 different Ford models.
Useful when waiting on the quayside for a car ferry to dock and the guy in the Ford Granada in front locked his key in his boot, saved his bacon and all the other cars that would have been stuck behand him.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0 -
