He's probably paranoid but just doesn't want to say and I see no reason to waterboard him or the suchlike to find out.

I'm also not particularly bothered about finding out but suspect good old YouTube will be enlightening for someone bothered enough.

Waterboarding is probably too far. I would just withhold his allowance of Jaffa Cakes until he tells.
  • I met my wife because she had "lost" her car. I must have looked the most likely to help and least like a mad axe murderer.
We found it. Different street to that she thought it had been parked! The rest is history.

And is she still a poor judge of character or is that her under the patio? :D

This thread needs an update from the OP.

    But in the meantime …

One sunny Saturday at B&Q Speke the security guy told me a customer was with him who had their car stolen from the car park. They had rung the police and reported it but were asking about CCTV.

The shopping park has pretty good CCTV coverage and the security work with them regularly because of the local clientele, so he was asking if he could take them to the camera room and use the external CCTV to identify where they had been parked and tell site security so they could check if they had the theft on camera.

I wandered over and met them by the security office, guy was livid because it was a new Qashqai and his pride and joy. We moved the camera around the rows of cars, it was very busy as it often was, very few spaces. Suddenly the guy was up on his feet and pointing. "There it is! There! Run it forward from there and see who takes it."

And it was a great view, his car clearly on the live feed - we weren't watching a recording, as we explained this to him and zoomed out we saw the police car pulling up at the entrance of the store.

We left him somewhat shamefaced to deal with the police and phone his wife who was on her way down.

Ha ha. I bet the guy in B&Q Speke made the same mistake as my mum. I see it has a similar layout to Reading, though reversed. :)

That's just what I'm thinking and its on another floor

Yes, I did this once. The staff were very helpful and found it in my usual space, but a different floor from where I normally park.

Drove to local Waitrose. Such a lovely day. Walked home. Hey, who's stolen the car from the front of the house?
