Makes sense and as you say September it is. Was never a big fan of the earlier iPhone but they did up the game with latter models and since they got Samsung to make their screens they are really good, save for the price bracket. Mind you Samsung are now at the same price bracket with the S10 and S10 +.

So I went from a 6S to an 8
Still getting used to it.

I had forgot the 8 doesn't have a real button. It has haptic feedback and you select 1 of 3 feels you like). I prefer the button, but hopefully this will last longer.

The speakers don't seam as good. They resonate (even on mid volume). Maybe that is just mine?


The ear peice also resonates. I took it in under warranty. But they considered it ok.


I guess this maybe because the 8 is the cheap model


Edit So I now realise when you use the speakers it also uses the ear piece which is the bit that resonates.
Put your thumb over the ear piece and it’s fine
