An app will be launched mid 2023. I don’t expect much functionality yet on the app. Probably just balances and withdrawal to linked account.2

Annoyingly they have to send us something in the post as it's a joint account (in spite of the fact that we are both existing account holders and they could simply email OH to ask him if he's OK with it!) so allowing for the state of our postal service currently it is pretty likely to be next month before we actually see the account being opened. Annoying as I wanted it to dump the contents of the soon to be maturing regular savers from the same provider into. Sigh.soulsaver said:EssexHebridean said:Coventry limited access 6 applied for here. Sigh.Good thinking - except this is going to be where some house deposit money is sitting until needed - so I’d sooner know that both of us can access it just in case of log-in issues! When I applied for this account as a new customer, it took about 10 mins and I was given my new account number and sort code there and then, and when done I was able to login to the Coventry account straight away (and fund it with a test payment from my linked/nominated account) - before I received the welcome letter.
When I received the welcome letter, with it I received my phone grid card (needed if you ever use telephone banking with them) and also the letter asking for a signature with a prepaid envelope.
Re the signature request - on the letter I received it said:
If you need to make any changes in the future - for example, if you change your address or want to tell us what to do with your savings when a bond matures - we'll need to check your identity again. One of the ways to do this is by checking your signature...

Do we reckon Al Rayan will up their rate soon to match Coventry's 3.25% Limited Access Saver (Online) 6 or even the upcoming Yorkshire BS Loyalty 3.5% on 17th Jan?0

soulsaver said:Just maybe worth repeating an observation on the YBS Rainy Day Saver, which is a limited (double) access account, open to 'all' and has been featured in the 'small(er) balances' section in the ToTP for a while.
From 17/01 - 3.35% to £5k then 2.85% on the bal above that.
Currently it's lower rate doesn't make the ToTP main list, but it may do from 17/01.
ATBE then, the 2.85% alone will put it equal/above Al Rayan in the ToTP; the aggregated rate would put it even higher.
For example/comparison, £40k would earn 2.91%; or £30k would get 2.93%;
£85k would get 2.87% and I'm planning to treat it as that for ranking purposes whilst it qualifies.
Yorkshire BS Online Rainy Day Iss2 (Double access) currently 3.0% to £5k, then 2.5% (09/12) ->3.35% to £5k then 2.85% wef 17/01.

Is the account closed after the second withdrawal? Product Terms don't make it clear.

Is the account closed after the second withdrawal? Product Terms don't make it clear."The Online Rainy Day Account Issue 2 allows unlimited instant withdrawals from your account without loss of any interest, on two days per account year, based on anniversary of account opening. You may also close your account at any time even if you have used all of your withdrawal days."
I interpret this to mean that on any two days of each account year, you can do unlimited withdrawal requests. If you needed to make a withdrawal on a third day of the same account year, this is not possible, unless you close the account and access your full balance - hence 'You may also close your account at any time even if you have used all of your withdrawal days.'If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.

The Yorkshire Loyalty is NLA, so that won't bother them... And there's a rumour that the Cov ac is about to go NLA, too.1 -
