Looks like Cynergy have changed their easy access account now - still 1.85% but restricted to existing customers only.2

If so that's one good reason for always keeping open at least one single account with minimal balance when switching to another provider offering a better rate. Many people here seem to totally "ditch" a provider when moving money out, thus they may be unable to open new accounts with the old provider when their rates subsequently rocket up.t1redmonkey said:Looks like Cynergy have changed their easy access account now - still 1.85% but restricted to existing customers only.

Thanks for keeping your 'ToTP' updated. Amongst many other useful things, it currently correctly shows Cynergy EA; 1.85%. You may have noticed t1redmonkey's recent post saying that the account appears to have changed to now being only available to existing customers. If so I'm very happy to continue to see this Cynergy account shown in the 'ToTP list, but may I suggest you add an "existing customers only" note to it?soulsaver said:Bridlington1 said:According to moneyfacts, Nationwide's 1Y triple access saver will be going up to 1.75%.

The £1000 deposit it's talking about on the product page is an example to show how interest works0 -

The £1000 deposit it's talking about on the product page is an example to show how interest worksMistake by me, Secure Trust bank is £1000 minimal balance. I have 11 savings accounts so hard to keep track of what’s what.
Anyone notice if you google Cynergy Bank you don’t get the required hit to take you to the home page.

I am aware that the minimum balance required to keep an account open can vary significantly between providers. I have some requiring minimum of £10,000+ and things can often be further complicated by the use of tiered interest rates. My comment wasn't just aimed at Cynergy Bank customers. That is why I used the term "minimal" rather than a specific figure. The reader has to determine what the amount is for their personal account. I simply wanted to draw attention to the fact that often it maybe worth keeping old accounts open with minimal balance as sometimes the old provider may suddenly offer a top rate but only to existing customers. Everyone is of course entitled to make their own decision..Reginald Molehusband1 -
When I google 'cynergy bank', the top entry is https://www.cynergybank.co.uk/. From there, I click on login and get into my account (after using the silly code generator app).Thumbs_Up said:Anyone notice if you google Cynergy Bank you don’t get the required hit to take you to the home page
I have for a long time kept just over £100 in Cynergy, just to keep the account alive though it's various issues.Thumbs_Up said:Just to remind you the “minimal” balance is £1000 with Cynergy.

I cut and pasted “Cynergy bank”
I use DuckDuckGo as my search engine via Firefox browser – I get a different result. I thought it was a bit curious because I have no issues with any other UK bank searches. And yes the code generator app is bizarre.

I did say Google figuratively. (I don’t use Google)
