I was looking into the booster pots, but couldn't work out whether they are actually separate accounts with separate accounts numbers ?
As I said above I just opened one called smart saver. I also opened a booster and as far as I can tell the only account that interacts with an external account is the non boosted one. All the boosted ones get and send funds from and to the non boosted one.

If it's a boosted 'pot' it's got a notice requirement, so you can't make an immediate w/d.
When the notice is up the pot becomes an 'access' pot and you can then make w/ds.

Not separate. see then as protected "sub folders" of your main folder account. You have to move move to and from your main account all under the single account number and sortcode etc.

Zopa account opened via their app. Very simple, transferred a quid over to make sure it drops in OK.

I will use the 95 day boosted and start the countdown straight away, then renew when I get access.
  • How long do movements in/out Zopa usually take ?

Judging from reports I've seen and my own experience, it's quite variable.

For me, money I've sent to Zopa (5 transactions) arrived about 5 minutes after it had gone from the sending account (Chase in my case).

I've only done one payment the other way; the time frame was similar.

However, I've seen other people reporting several hours and even having to wait until the next day for the money to show in their Zopa account.

I chased up a large payment and this is the reply I got back from Zopa:

"In regards to the payment, you have attempted to send us we have been informed by our payments partner that the funds should be with us by the latest Monday end of the day.

The funds you have sent should arrive with us by Monday if not before, if they do not arrive by the End of Day Monday, please let us know and we will investigate further."

This was for a payment made around 11am on Friday.

Sorry - I should have said.

Yes, it eventually arrived at the end of Monday with the date of deposit being the Monday.

However I've made further payments since and they arrived within 30 minutes.
