If you would like save me looking it up. Lazy me.
New customer to gatehouse I make £1000 initial deposit.
Q. If I withdraw some of this and reduce my total holding below this level will the expected profit rate (1.4 at the moment) be reduced?
Q. Is the expected profit compounded and added daily like an interest bearing savings account?
Thanks0 -

Virgin - Tried and ended up with need to go through some special ID thingy they sent by email after I already answered many questions - don't take well to extended interrogation so not for me.
Zopa - background noise about boosted pots making it a notice account or such like put me off till now but a closer look and I will give it a go.
Thanks for your advice.0 -

The 'boosted pots' are just a way of getting a higher rate in return for having to give them notice - it's a great feature but entirely optional.

Thanks for your advice.Coventry Building Society's EA (Online) (4) pays 1.35% from 1st July, with £1 minimum. Might be worth a look?FWIW, I didn't have any 'complications' when signing up with CBS last year (though I didn't have any with Virgin either, so...?).0 -

I was looking into the booster pots, but couldn't work out whether they are actually separate accounts with separate accounts numbers ?0

As I said above I just opened one called smart saver. I also opened a booster and as far as I can tell the only account that interacts with an external account is the non boosted one. All the boosted ones get and send funds from and to the non boosted one.0
