I have to contact twice in secure messages. I noticed they had read one but not actioned so sent second another pointing out they had read my message but no responses the next I received an email saying there was a secure message waiting for me which confirmed they had moved my account"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"1

I received a response - and the transfer to issue 29 was actioned - within one working day.Aidanmc said:Did everyone who requested Shawbrook to move their account to issue 29 receive a response?Sent request twice since monday and haven't got back to me. I can't see how i can open a new account myself as an existing customer?1 -
Yes they responded to me within 2 days, messaged them over last weekend. Suspect they are just working through/actioning a lot of requests so maybe a backlog?tg99 said:

Has anybody received formal or email notification from VM regarding the rate change yet .. very strange given it starts on Tuesday?
Marcus still silent on any increase rate - maybe they will wait to see the size of outflow as other institutions increase rates ..0 -

Nope, nothing received.

For an increase, they don't have to tell you personally before they make it, and not very quickly afterwards, either.milton1970 said:Has anybody received formal or email notification from VM regarding the rate change yet .. very strange given it starts on Tuesday?

From their general savings T&Cs:

Thanks @Daliah but not really my point0

Excuse my confusion, but what is your point then?milton1970 said:Thanks @Daliah but not really my point
Dahlia has taken the time to give you what appears to be an excellent answer.
I haven't received any personal notification and as yet the VM site is still quoting 0.35%. This is a poor show, but I am quite happy that I will be getting a rate more than 33% higher than the next best on the market.
As regards Marcus, I can see them increasing their rate soon but I doubt it would be anywhere near 1.00%3 -
@Rg2625 I guess “formal or email” were the important words .. I can read t&cs myself on whether there is a requirement ..1

You were hoping for a good news email! Perhaps they are worried about the stampede to put money in their savings accounts"Look after your pennies and your pounds will look after themselves"3
