.... TSB Monthly Saver at 2% but thats only for Classic Plus account holders.
The TSB Monthly Saver is available to holders of any TSB current account.

There are also a number of Monthly (Regular) Savers with better than 2% interest rates https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6106986/regular-savings-accounts-the-best-currently-available-list
Yes but all of the others have a penalty to withdraw, those two don’t!
If it's withdrawal penalties you are worried about, there are several other 2% ones, and at least one 2.5% one, which allow penalty-free withdrawals.
Could you elaborate on these providers please?
You could just click on the link provided by Colsten and quoted by yourself ;-)
Actually prior to my post I have already looked through the link. I went through 4 pages of the link and it wasnt much help!
Did you read Page 1, all the info you require is there.
Due to the rate cuts these are all outdated
Not wrong as updated every week !
Okay well as of today they haven't been updated so as of today they are outdated!
Unless you're prepared to take over the mammoth task of updating that thread from Special_Saver2, you'll have to be satisfied with a weekly update. Then read through this week's posts for changes. Other comparison websites are also available
I didn't have an issue with them being updated weekly. I asked someone if they could let me know which providers have accounts that are 2% or higher. I was then told to look in that thread which obviously as of today is out date so I came back here. Next time I wont bother! You all seem miserable on here!

Not at all miserable. We just manage our expectations.

Actually, it's a fair point that weekly updates do not really do the job at the moment. - the situation is changing so fast.  But the main MSE website is doing a good job of tracking changes.  It already has the reduction in the Marcus rate announced yesterday.

The thread you were referred to contains at least half a dozen >=2% AER accounts that are currently available to new applicants.

Twice, and no ID was requested. First time we've done business with Aldermore, everything done online, no problems.

Opened one last year for a cashback bonus. No info required to be sent, however it will depend on whether you can be verified electronically or not. If you're on the Electoral role, you probably won't need to send anything.
  • So I have around 12k I want to put into a savings account and I think the drip method is the best so:

    1. I opened a sage saving account yesterday with easy access and put 10k into there from my halifax current account
    2. I now need to open a regular savings account which I can then drip feed money into however it has to be a UK current account linked to the sage account

Any ideas on what to do?
    Anyone?

Several people have replied to this already. You'll need to move the money to your current account and from there to your regular savers.

If you need to open a current account for the funds to be transferred into from your Saga account, you'll also need to open a regular saver in addition to that.  Have a  look at the following thread for the best regular savings accounts.  The thread's updated weekly, so you'd be best to check any of the accounts listed before opening as accounts/rates are changing quite a bit at the moment.
