Because I grabbed this account in the two days in August it was offering 1.3%, I now get 1.55%. Excellent (drums fingers together Mr Burns style). Didn't have any correspondence from them but I logged in, looked at the deposit details and there it was.

What is the website for the Bank of Cyprus like to use, are there any issues of withdrawal like there appears to be with the post office?

BoCUK: Always (8years or more) worked well for me, but I don't do many transactions.

You need to have mobile network coverage (and a working mobile) to make a withdrawal as part of the process is being texted a code to enter
Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place

Coventry BS apply the BoE base rate raise on their Easy Access Online ac:

    Current rates Annual Monthly
    Balance AER*/Gross p.a. AER Gross p.a.
    £0.01 plus 1.15% 1.15% 1.14%

    New rates from
    1 December 2017 Annual Monthly
    Balance AER*/Gross p.a. AER Gross p.a.
    £0.01 plus 1.40% 1.40% 1.39%

    https://www.coventrybuildingsociety.co.uk/

PS These rates were emailed to me by CBS; I couldn't find accounts on their site that match... so may be for existing ac holders or maybe the site hasn't been updated yet??

Applied to open a Birmingham Midshires account on 21st October. I returned all the docs/cheque they asked for by return of post.

Today, 14th November, still waiting for the final letter from them so I can operate the account. 24 days since I applied !

Have now opened a Paragon account instead.

Birmingham Midshires tell me the postage of user names for new account holders is being delayed. I'm still waiting for mine; now 26 days since I applied for the account.

In the meantime, applied for a Paragon account on Saturday. Up and running as of today.

Paragon? Does it use Direct Debit mandate to pull money to the account? If it does, will it work for both the Easy Access and Limited Edition accounts?

I make payments in to Paragon manually from my current account. I don't have a direct debit set up to do this.

But can you set a direct debit on it, or don't you know?
