It is ideal for just that purpose TY.

You have a 7-figure user ID to commit to memory, a password (which you can choose), a security code which you choose and commit to memory and something called a code card (this comes by post).

Opening these accounts at the rate of one or two a month requires a prodigious memory :)

Thanks for taking time to reply. it does not need to be one or two months it could be for years until a new better deal is coming. Maintaining a minimum balance of £1,000 is not a great deal. People with RSA maturing might be using it multiple times.

About memorizing online detail, those people who have many bank accounts with different banks have been doing that anyway. What I normally do is to write/set up a reminder which just me could decode it when see the reminder.

About Faster payment, no doubt yes they definitely have faster payment I am more concern how reliable they are e.g

    - How good their FPI and FPO is e.g. is it instant like any other high street banks ??
    - Are they processing FPI/FPO, SO/DD during the weekend/bank holidays (Like Santander and Tesco, NW) do or they are waiting until the next working days (e.g Lloyds Banking groups)??

The Nottingham is not a bank, it is a building society.
Faster payments out requested before 4pm are processed next working day.

Faster payment to Nottingham BS at about 18.15 this evening wasn't immediate but I only monitored it for about 15 minutes. But it's there now with today's date! That'll do me.

A NS&I income bond paying 1% up to a million guaranteed and no hassle is as good as anything at the moment.

Is it easy to deposit and withdraw, relatively fast, though?

Yes, deposit by debit card and withdraw via BACS.

    Good Point.
But Nationwide is a BS as well and FPI / FPO is instant. They are also processing it during the weekend which is a very good feature if you are using ot for stoozing.

I have NW easy saver but it is only paying 0.85%, not as good as Nottingham BS.

But it is probably too much to expect them to perform like NW.

I had one of these NS&I account but closed it last week as I forgot how much of a pain a BACS transfer was compared to FP.

Request money on a Monday and get it Wednesday, yea, a real pain.

Although I must say there`s no reason these days not to use FP.

In my persoanl opinion, it is not worthy of consideration considering time to invest on this:
    - You will need to request it instead of doing it by yourself and monitor it thereafter
    - The different in interest is tiny considering it is just about 1%.
