Has anyone closed their Santander Edge Saver and then immediately opened another, thereby in essence extending the maturity date and interest rate?

Thank you @Bridlington1 ... just moved the balance to Chase SA 5.1% and closed over the phone, interest to be received in nominated account in 3-5 working days, confirmation with cheque for £0.00 to be sent in the post.

Just a reminder the NLA Easy Access Saver Limited Edition (Issue 3) interest rate drops from 5.2% to 4.2% today.
Oddly, my app still states 5.2%, whereas website shows the decrease to 4.2% :#

Skipton members bonus saver 1A 5.5%
Can someone help please, I have lost the T&C's for this account. I know the account rate is for a year but does it have any restrictions on how many withdrawals you can make during that year.
    Thanks.
I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
I listen all night for your step on the stair.

It's still on their website at 5.5% variable:

You can make as many withdrawals as you wish.

    looks to be unlimited withdrawals...
    • Yes, as long as you’ve set up the relevant security and access measures, you can withdraw through Skipton Online, the Skipton App, in branch, by post or phone, subject to the £1 minimum operating balance. The minimum withdrawal amount is £1.
    • You don’t need to give us notice before you withdraw and there are no penalties.
    • If you withdraw by electronic payment this must be made to a UK bank or building society account in your own name. We won’t make an electronic payment to any other type of account.

Virgin Money are slashing rates on their defined access e-saver (21) from 5.11% to 4.76% in a couple of weeks' time.

This bait-and-stitch-up behaviour disgusts me as the account was only launched a couple of months ago and the base rate has not changed.

Since depositing house equity 6 months ago, I've started to learn who the honourable players are. Stafford BS are OK but have outdated account management. Cynergy, Kent Reliance, Family have been excellent at maintaining rates. Santander were OK, we got a good 6 months out of their account. Chorley haven't been great, but havn't been the worst offenders.
Same for Virgin Defined Access E-Saver issue 19 going from 5.12% to 4.76% on 31st May.
All down - issue 20 going from 5.07 to 4.76.
I have an issue 22 and am not sure if/when it's rate will change.  Is there a web page showing the pending rate changes or is this information only sent to people who's rate will change?
