Yes. I had a text message telling me I had a new secure message to read, but can't currently access the online banking to log in and read it.

Couldn't log on a couple of days ago.  Gave up in the end, thankfully it wasn't to make a transaction.  Haven't tried today though.

Yes! Had an SMS from them earlier saying I'd received a new secure message from them. Nothing ongoing with them that I'm aware of. Tried to log in about 10 minutes ago. Either get weird text screen or logon screen. If the latter it then fails to connect once details entered. Will try again in a bit.

Charter 4.8% saga - seems of the two options it was the incompetence one rather than deceitful:

"On 3 August 2023 we sent you a communication detailing that your account would be eligible to receive a 0.25% increase following the Bank of England base rate announcement on the same day of the same amount. 

Unfortunately, due to the already highly competitive rate on your product this email should not have been sent to you. However, due to this being our error, we will be honouring this rate increase and ensure it's applied, effective from 18 August 2023. No action is required from you. 

Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this may have caused you, and please be assured we have taken steps to ensure this does not happen again."

'Already highly competitive rate'!! At 4.55%. Part of my complaint was having left funds with them for the two weeks notice of expected increase at a very uncompetitive rate then not getting the rate rise. Good that they have backdated but poor that they took so long over sorting the issue and quite delusional about the competitive rate. Is three working days since they said they would phone me within three working days to try to resolve my complaint. No call as yet.

Had a SMS saying the same a week ago - logged in and they just wanted me to review their accounts - just marketing. Maybe the same.

Thanks. Looks like FD are one of the better/higher limit ones - although their fraud team hopefully isn't one of the best as the others would be dreadful if they were.
Current UK personal banking is just not set up for people to frequently swap around their savings accounts.
