Why? They are still faster and more flexible than, and without the limits of, competitors.
Yes they are good but rate is everything...

Also so is Tandem... who we are still waiting for. After what happened last time they seem to be trying to outwait each other.

Yes, an increase from Tandem is long overdue. Maybe the coming BoE rate increase will give them the necessary push.

Hiya, hopefully this is a quick question… I have an easy access account with GB Bank Ltd via Raisin (@4.15%), I had interest depositors in 1st July (the month after I’d opened the account) but haven’t had anything paid today - should I be worried or will it be paid tomorrow?
i want to close it but don’t want to leave a smallish amount behind…

Only for those rate chasers that are obsessed with getting the highest rate. Some of us don’t mind having a slightly less rate if we are happy with the product and service.

I am happy with slightly lower interest rate in return for instant access. Use Chip  for that, even though it's not the top rate but its ease of use is worth a lot. Use slower banks or building societies for other easy access funds (Ford / Saffron Building Society). So rate isn't everything.

    It really isn't.

For the record @soulsaver I think Saffron BS' Enviro Saver (Issue 2) @ 4.55% currently beats Sainsburys Bank at #10 though I suspect it won't matter for much longer anyway.
Also Yorkshire BS' Rainy Day Saver can probably safely be removed from the smaller balances section.
I no longer check the forums as regularly as I used to. If you wish to catch my attention please remember to tag me (@ircE) so I get a notification.
