The Monument Ts and Cs just say you have to have a minimum £25K balance across all accounts with them. If they accept your £1, you're fine, if they reject it because it's too small you'll know the details are correct at least. Since some banks limit faster payments to values below £25K, it would be pretty unreasonable to expect people to send money in such large chunks.

Monument Bank Easy Access Savings 4.35%. Min Deposit £25K
Thanks for pointing this out. Not heard of them before, presumably because of the 25k minimum. Anybody know if Monument allow a small test deposit ?

It looks like you can build up the 25k in a few transactions. It doesn't give an exact timeframe but I imagine if you spread it across a week or maybe two they will be happy.
From their FAQ (I've bolded the important bit):

We ask our clients to hold at least £25,000 in savings with us.
We offer a range of different savings accounts, so if you have over £25,000 in total with us you will meet the minimum balance requirement. If you are applying for your first Monument savings account, then you will need to deposit at least £25,000 when opening that account.
We appreciate this may be built up over a short period (although for our Fixed Term Deposits there is a 14 day funding period – please refer to the detailed Fixed Term Deposit Terms).
If your total savings balances are or fall beneath £25,000 we will ask you to “top up”, and if you don’t, we reserve the right to close your account(s) and return any balances to your Linked Account(s).

I have to say that the minimum balance of £25K is pushing the boundaries of what I would consider "easy access". Unlimited easy withdrawals apart from the £25K! But I guess we all have different views on that.

Don't forget it's minimum £25K across all Monument accounts, so if you have a fix with them, for example, that reduces (or eliminates) the minimum balance required in the Easy Access account. I suspect they're trying to manage tidalwaves of cash flowing in an out.

Yeah, I accept that but they are not exactly overflowing with other account options. Two fixed and one easy access and that's your lot. It might make more sense if they also had a bunch of ISA accounts. Anyway, we're all trying to manage tidal waves of cash, it's just that they are not necessarily wanting the cash to flow in the same direction as me!  :D

Oxbury instant access disappeared from their site, possible bump imminent. Will give notice on their 90 day saver tomorrow if there is no movement.
My Oxbury instant access is now showing at 4.46% AER

That's what I like about Investec. One easy access interest  reviewed every 1st of the month. One 90 day access interest reviewed every 15th of the month.

Thanks, that's the account Access Saver Online 2 open. Do internal transfers between Coventry accounts count as withdrawal or only if funds go to the nominated account?
