this is the email I got showing the old rate (3.98%) and the new one (4.17%)...

my account is correctly showing as 4.17% (monthly interest) in both the app and the website.

Monthly is 4.17%, not 3.98 (that was the previous rate)

Nationwide Building Society are increasing instant access interest rates on the 14th July 2023 by 0.8% and again, for a few accounts by 0.2%, on the 1st August 2023:

Moving my money out of shawbrook. No longer competitive and I don't like the slow transfers and convoluted log in process. Think I'll go for Atom 6 month fix 5.15%

Indeed - leaving a quid in there in case they improve - but plenty of other instant access accounts beat them these days

Just to confirm another poster's experience before, I made a withdrawal from Newcastle BS today at 3.57pm and it cleared into my other account by the time I checked at 5.40pm. So it does appear that the lady I spoke with was correct in saying that it is same working day withdrawals if requested by 4pm.
