Guess its time to open a Chip account..
Has anyone had issues with transferring money from Chip? Tempted to now move all our saving funds into Chip. In the past we split across 2 or 3 providers but we don't need regular access to it other than for emergencies.
I've had no problems with multiple deposits and withdrawals over a couple of months. I do keep money in another EA account just in case I can't access Chip for some reason.

What do chip charge per month for their account?

There is no monthly charge for the savings account. I think Chip also offer lots of other financial products with a monthly charge, but there is no requirement to use those.

Nope, in and out is instant, just make sure you go through all the settings after opening to turn off all the auto-savings / auto-transfer stuff if not needed.

Why is Chip asking to connect to a debit card? I've had other banks link to another account so provided current account and sort code. I just do online banking with this account so I wonder where the debit card is..

It uses the debit card to link to your bank account rather than the sort code and account number, but the end result is the same.

So there isn't an alternative to use sort code/account number? Such a pain.

Chip uses 'open banking' and uses the debit card only to set it up. Later you can make deposits from the linked account by a debit card (slow) or by faster payments (fast) or via open banking (pull from Chip). Withdrawals - only open baking, I think.
