HSBC UK plans to boost savings rates and will give further details next week.
Referring to the bank’s savings offering, an HSBC spokesman told the PA news agency: “Following a review, we will be increasing rates shortly and making other changes, and we will be in a position to share the specifics early next week.
OBS up again...?

Oh dear, wait till you read about all the 'green crap' that Kroo is into.....MiserlyMartin said:That leaves Oxbury. But (from website: "Oxbury is the first UK bank to be net carbon-neutral from inception. We aim to combat climate change by providing products designed to support the agricultural sector with the transition to the low-carbon economy and the NFU’s ambition of reaching net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions across the whole of agriculture by 2040." I'm not going to give a penny to a company who is into all that net zero claptrap.
So that leaves Raisen, 4.15% but you loose 2 days interest when you transfer money in and 2 days again when you transfer out. I think the best to go for now is Kroo even though they are not at 4.1 % until 1 July

Leaving this here with an estimate of just under 6% of electricity used in UK by 2030 is used to run data centres.

So, planting trees or e.g. making efforts to redistribute heat generated and doing something good should be in the interest of everyone!
Not banking with an institution because they do this is imho just plain stupid and dumb. In that case, please just throw all digital devices away, disconnect from the internet.3 -
So thinking of moving from shawbrook to raisin for the 4.12%.
are we likely to see from increases on Monday or should I just get this moved?0 -
If I were you I'd get it moved. If we see some increases next week you can always move the money again, if not you're getting a higher rate of interest on your savings in the mean time.mayweather said:So thinking of moving from shawbrook to raisin for the 4.12%.

Is there a way to transfer a balance from a Coventry limited access online saver to the four access saver without having to send it back to my trusted current account at a different bank? I've got both open now and trying to move the funds0

Is this the GB Bank 4.15% easy access account with Raisin? Just be aware it takes a day or two to make deposits and the same for withdrawals. I had this account a couple of months ago and ended up ditching it in favour of Chip. I'm OK with a day or two for deposits/withdrawals on fixed term accounts, but not so for easy access.mayweather said:So thinking of moving from shawbrook to raisin for the 4.12%.
