I knew Coventry was a bad idea and still did it anyway... Moving money is starting to get annoying now as it keeps getting held up for hours by anti fraud checks from my current account.
Looks like Chip moved too early. Tandem is their main like for like competition now, they probably should have waited for them to make a move first.0 -
Same here - I have a collection of accounts. Some only allow a limited balance and are full. One is a true instant access account (i.e. immediate faster payments) which has some money in it for emergencies. One has a better rate but transfers take 24hrs, this has the rest of my instant access cash. Then I have a collection of old accounts which aren't competitive, but may be again, all with £1 balances.TiVo_Lad said:
I get the feeling there's going to be a lot of movement over the next few days, so unlike usual I'm going to let the dust settle a bit before shuffling the accounts once more.ForumUser7 said:Tandem 4.10%
GB Bank Raisin 4.00%
Wonder if we could see another rise shortly from Chip to beat Tandem
I'll happily move my money between my existing accounts to maximise returns, but I'm not going to add any more to my collection until I can achieve at least an extra 0.3%.1 -

Does GB bank (Raisin) allow partial withdrawals, or is it all or nothing?ForumUser7 said:Tandem 4.10%

Just seen... minimum balance £1000 then £500 min deposits/withdrawals.How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0 -
Its normal, it usually takes late evening or next day for me in the pastpatpalloon said:My tandem still showing 3.75% 🤷♂️1 -
Just got email and 4.10% from tomorrow, 21st June.patpalloon said:My tandem still showing 3.75% 🤷♂️0 -
I had a Raisin/GB Bank easy access account a couple of months ago.......not the best of experiences! Deposits/withdrawals took a few days, longer over weekends and bank holidays. I closed the account (it took a couple of weeks for the final interest payment to reach my Raisin account) and moved the money to Chip. I think Raisin works well for fixes, not so well for easy access accounts.Sea_Shell said:

Same here. I will wait for few days and see how Coventry reacts on upcoming BoE increase and then decide whether to reduce it to £1 or keep my money there.Zaul22 said:I knew Coventry was a bad idea and still did it anyway... I've recently deposited some money into Gatehouse - this will go to Tandem tomorrow.0 -
Coventry took 3 weeks to raise their rates after the last MPC decision, by which time they were eclipsed by many other accounts
