First experience of trying to close an easy accent account with RCI Bank (Freedom Account). Closure request accepted yesterday afternoon (Thursday 1 June). Rang them to query when the funds would arrive in my nominated account. Answer end of business Monday 5th June. That's taking 96 hours to transfer funds electronically! I could have walked there, collected my cash and walked to building society and deposited the funds quicker than that!0

Hanley EBS quoting 10 W.D. time frame for processing of postal applications, due to the 'success of [their] Branch Saver account'

There is likely a different team that processes withdrawal requests, but regardless with the high volume of post they'll be receiving, it feels likely postal withdrawal requests may be delayed. Ultimately, there will be a huge pile to sort through before it is sent to the relevant teams. Glad I decided to keep my RS funds for this month handy. If you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.
