I've just moved some accounts that have matured to my Ford Money account, I like it that the interest rate is automatically updated and I don't have to do anything!

Monthly interest is paid on the 1st. There is a penalty for any month in which there is a withdrawal. Which is why I exited today. Have just left it with a nil balance. Conveniently the day that Ford went to 3.75%.oz0707 said:
might shift my obs funds into Ford. At least they seem to want to keep up with competitive rates.mebu60 said:
As someone said recently, receipts in to Ford Money are very quick now. My HSBC OBS funds whizzed into Ford earlier this morning (via three current accounts!).Section62 said:
Emails arriving from Ford Money confirming this, effective today.cheesemason said:Ford Money increasing to 3.75% on 1st June
Is now a good time to move HSBC OBS funds due to the monthly interest or does it go on account opening anniversary?1 -
Indeed, but it has taken them a while to get competitive again, I had £1 languishing in there quite a while waiting.Saver73 said:I've just moved some accounts that have matured to my Ford Money account, I like it that the interest rate is automatically updated and I don't have to do anything!1 -

Just gone to empty OBS and see the rate has improved from 3.25 to 3.5% Not sure its worth the aggro for 50 pence a week.0

Do you know how long it takes for withdrawals to reach nominated account, and payments into this account take, please? I can't find in the summary of the account and I've tried to find out via online chat, and lost the will to live, they couldn't understand my question and just kept saying the funds go into a nominated account 🙄0 -
In my experience 10 minutes or less for payments and withdrawals. Same for withdrawals at the weekend, I haven't tried a weekend paymentI made a payment into it today at 11:45 and received a confirmation SMS at 11:511

Currently 3.5% is a low rate. It increased to 3.5% on 20th April and even then it wasn't competitive. HSBS OBS was good for the first few months and then fell behind.oz0707 said:Just gone to empty OBS and see the rate has improved from 3.25 to 3.5% Not sure its worth the aggro for 50 pence a week.1 -

Could be held up in Santander of course.0 -
They use Faster Payments in and out. You also get a text confirmation when funds received by them and paid out too. Usually 5 minute or so delay at most.10_66 said:jaypers said:Investec Easy Access Saver now 3.82%
