Very poor from Zopa to not even get the instant access rate up to 3.5%. Did a clear out earlier in the week after my pots matured and there's no reason to go back on that decision based on those rates.

Zopa lost my business this morning....shame because I really like the app functionality (it 'just works') and instant transfers. Kept the account open in case they come to their senses and launch some competitive rates.

Blimey thats surprisingly bad from Zopa. So they added 0.12% to instant access? Was it 3.34% before?

Massive thank you to those on the long since defunct Matched Betting board.

Strange times when Renault and Ford are better banks than Zopa!

If previous experience is anything to go by when a small building society offers a table-topping rate that beats the competition by a mile, they will crumble under the extra workload generated by a big influx of rate-hungry forumites and withdraw the account within a matter of days ! Saying that, those pretty restrictive withdrawal terms are likely to put many off.
i wasnt going to go for it just because i cnt be bothered with it being postal. i just thought it was a great rate. and a fairly big jump from chip. i wouldnt mind the withdrawal limits its just we are in 2023 we shouldnt be using post to open an account.

Talking of being in 2023, opened the Chorley EA 3.7% this week online and they've sent me a passbook! Quaint!

It’s so frustrating to see new accounts with great rates that, in my view, just shouldn’t count here. Minimum amount per withdrawal, or fixed number of times to withdraw, or access by branch and post… so many restrictions. The most I am willing to accept is my new Harpenden 3.69% account which has no limits, but takes forever to show money you’ve deposited. Where are all the challenger banks at the moment? Do none of them need our money?
