What small DFW things will you do w/c 18th Feb?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

Thanks for starting us off for another week PF

Today's list:
Load of washing in, which will hopefully go outside once finished It got put out, but had to come in again when it started to pour with rain
Now on airer.
Price up items for sales unit and take them there Done
Pack a small ebay sale ready to post tomorrow Not done - run out of steam now, so it will have to wait till tomorrow
RM surveys stuff Done
Make more blueberry muffins and freeze them. I inadvertently spilled cooking oil in the punnet last night  and although I have blotted them off with kitchen roll, I don't fancy eating them raw. However, as muffins have oil/ fat in them anyway, I can't see the harm. Done, cooling now, will have to freeze in the morning
Check banks and update spreadsheet Done
We have all sorts of bits and leftovers in the fridge, plus a tub of lovely HM creamy curried parsnip soup, and I made a loaf yesterday, so apart from the muffins, no / minimal cooking today
Done
Clear up patio, which is covered in pots, toys and all kinds of stuff! Done, brought in toys and washed them, put unused hanging baskets away, moved a pile of pots down to the bottom of the garden
Ran out of time / steam, partly because DD appeared with the kids this afternoon. GS is difficult at the moment, teething and tantrums
In other news, I found some Iceland vouchers in my purse, and realised they were still in date. They were for a free pizza and a free frozen dessert from a specific range. Not things I would buy tbh, but was happy to claim them for free
That should keep me busy! Hope everyone has a good day

Morning! Half term here as well, so I'm trying to find free or cheap things to keep my preschooler entertained. He's been in a pretty difficult phase recently, and struggles to play by himself, so it's going to take some doing!
Yesterday was a mixed bag of frugal; we went out for the day and used a gift card to get some vegan sausage rolls from Greggs for lunch - win, but ended up paying £8 to get into some open gardens - fail - as we went along but didn't know we had to pay until we were already there and the 3yo was itching to get out. Plus I forgot the memory card for my camera, which was the main reason we even went there. Eurgh.
Today I've packed lunch and I've got a coffee in my flask, and we are off to our local NT site (as we are members so it's not going to cost me anything today). They've got a few bits going on as it's half term, and I'm hoping to wear everyone out. Plus, I've remembered my memory card! Take two.Make £2025 in 2025 #18 - £569.66/£2025

Morning all,
Thanks PF for the starter.
I hope all those on half term, have happy kids
My two's half term is next week so this week is all about getting on top of my house as whilst we've been busy sorting the other house this one has been left ticking over a bit.
Todays list
* ds1 finished off a big portion of porridge I made yesterday for his breakfast (normal ys bread/eggs will resume tomorrow!)
* ds2 to free school breakfast club
* gym session 3/4 done as I came home early as anxiety kicked in and I felt like I needed out ;( Haven't had that problem at the gym in a long time and was with my gym buddy so it came as a surprise
* wash a load on the quick 30 degree wash (its raining here but I'm hoping it will stop so that I can get it out on the line later to dry) Actually, one load of clothes and then 2 x 2 loads of sofa/chair cushions all on the line thankfully
* run the dishwasher on the quick wash  and empty
* check banking/update spreadsheet / email it back to myself as a back up
* check off credit card statement - quite a few spends relating to rental which I need to separate out.
* clean kitchen using star drops /cloths
* tidy away in garage, everything we've used from tools to paint etc is all in a massive ikea bag that we've brought back from rental, needs putting away properly - this means we can find what we want, when we want it and know what we have which saves money  And my dad (who was about to put the grout reviver away, asked if I wanted my shower cubicle doing, so I have a lovely fresh looking shower room)
* clean up oil filled radiator that we brought from other house, are these things energy efficient does anyone know? not had one before and not sure whether to keep it or not yet
Thats my start, I'll be back with more as I go on hopefully (need to get myself busy)Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
