Curve card - refund processing times?

Does anyone know if refunds take longer than usual if they go through the Curve card? Reason for asking is that a week ago a refund of around £10 was processed by B&M back onto my Curve Card and as of yet its not showed up, either in the Curve app or on the underlying card (First Direct Visa). Previously when I've had a refund directly onto my First Direct Visa card (or any other card) from B&M its always gone through in 2-3 days.
I've called up Curve but they said they've not received anything from B&M yet and when I popped into B&M yesterday, they said the refund was processed the same day...so someone's clearly telling porkies.
I hope Curve don't process refunds in the same way as the old Travelex Supercard Visa (1st gen) as they often used to take 5-6 weeks to process a refund :rotfl:

Longest I've had for a Curve refund is just under 2 weeks... while the shortest was about a week!
Seems Curve don't get the refund until quite late, potentially as a result of whatever systems they use. Once they then issue the refund onto the card (ie. when you get a refund notification) it takes the usual 1-3 days depending on your card issuer.
Yes it's longer because there are two companies issuing refunds here.0 -
Thanks, I will give it another week or so.0

I would suggest to log a complaint with curve as I had few instances of waiting for refunds for weeks to no avail. Only when I logged a complaint they magically found the refunds. With one refund though they were saying it was not received and I had to ask for an email confirmation from retailer after which they said they didn't receive a refund but they would give my money back as a good will gesture. After this experience I stopped using the curve card for potential transactions where I could request a refund. Now I only use it for purchases which I won't be returning for sure like fuel or food.0

I managed to get the refund but only after speaking to them over ther phone. According to the support person, the reason why they take longer than other banks to issue refunds is that they have to manually match the refunds against the original transactions, ie they don't have automated systems in place to do this. Like scottishbank, I think i will only use the Curve card where there is a zero chance of getting a refund, eg a fuel purchase as its too much hassle to have to call them everytime to process a refund. Thanks again everyone0

Hi does anyone have a contact phone number for Curve please?
I am waiting for several refunds and can’t get any help when I’ve emailed them or contacted them through the App
Very frustrating
Many thanks0 -

This raises an interesting point (well, mildly interesting). If Curve has to match the refund to the original sale in order to ensure the refund goes ultimately to the underlying card used in the original sale, then how will they deal with refunds (especially partial ones) where there may be numerous previous sales at the same retailer but all applied to different underlying cards?
What would Curve do if you try to direct the refund to a different underlying card?0 -

In my case at least a few weeks back, they contacted me via support/email and asked me to confirm which card the transaction was originally made with so they could directly refund it. I was using a different underlying card at the time of the transaction than when they contacted me. I mentioned that it was a partial refund and which transaction it was and the date but they just replied saying they were directly refunding the correct card and that was all.0 -
Think that the bottom line is don't use curve when refunds could be needed....(like above poster said.) It's not always easy to remember to use a different card especially on Amazon0

I've had negative experiences with Curve the past month. Their services even went down 3 days ina row at one point. Their customer service is pretty decent though.0
