Airline Dispute Resolution

Following the guidelines on the MSE site, I am trying to claim compensation from Flybe for a delayed flight.
It seems I have to use the Airline Dispute Resolution service to do this.
I contacted them via their site with my complaint. They came back to me via e-mail to say they needed more information from me which I needed to upload to their portal.
I quote” If you have any difficulties, please let me know and I will arrange for a member of our tech team to contact you.”
Great, as I do need help. Only problem......who do I let know & how?
Mail is signed Initial Assessment Team. No individuals’ name or contact details. Also advised I can't just “reply” to their mail.
The phone number they supply is useless as I have been unable to actually speak to anyone. * button for operator just takes you to # leave a message service.
Has anyone used this service with any success? I am wondering if they are real or a scam.
Thanks for any advice/support.
Cheryl

Flybe is signed up to AviationADR which is not a scam. I have used them is the past. Is the issue simply a technical one, e.g. about how to scan or upload files? If so, is there someone (e.g. friend or family member) who could help you?
  • Put your flight details into euclaim and bottonline to see if they think you are due compensation. If they do you need to use the compensation form on the Flybe website. When they get back to you if they say no you then ask them for a deadlock letter and then go to Arbitration.

Have you had a refusal on your claim from flybe?
If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

    The alleged Ringleader.........
  • Thanks for the advice.
I will try to find someone more computer savvy than me to upload my information to the portal if Aviation Dispute Resolution don’t come through for me.
I have to say though, I have found them very difficult to work with. No way to speak to anyone or e-mail anyone directly.
Wonder what happens to those who want to fight for compensation & don’t have online facilities?
Presumably they just have to forget about it!
  • Yes, Flybe kicked me into touch immediately. Delays due to technical problems are not something they have to offer compensation for apparently!
  • A deadlock letter. Interesting. I will try this one out.
    Thanks!
  • Now it is a bit more clear you need to contact them and request a deadlock letter which you can submit to ADR
  • Just to add to the excellent advice proffered already. A rule of thumb observed hereabouts is that airlines take people more seriously when they are well informed - which is what visitors here are, either immediately or eventually. Before you send of all your info to ADR (I am pretty sure the A stands for Alternative as is alternative to Court) you should find (Google) and read Vauban's guide. After quite a lot of coffee and 2 or 3 reads through you will have all the info at your fingertips and be able to supply al the info needed. Good luck.
