how to amend details on a mini SD Card

I have about 200 pieces of music on my Mini Sd card which I use and listen to on my Samsung tablet. I am trying to amend the way the title and artists are laid out to make it more usual friendly for my purpose. Some songs do not have the artists on at all. I do not seem able to do this direct on my Samsung tablet, but I believe my goal could be achieved by inserting the mini SD card int a USB port on my PC and then make the required amendments deletions from there. However at the moment I do not seem able to achieve what I wish to do. where will I find my SD card card on my PC the way it is laid on when it comes up on my Samsung tablet. Any guidance on this subject will be most welcome

Sounds like you need to update the actual tag on the mp3 files themselves. I use Mp3tag for this purpose.0

How do you get into tag on the MP3 files to enable me to make the amendments I require to make. I presume this has to be done on PC by inserting the SD card card into a USB port. Thank you0

You mention USB, do you not have an SD card reader on your PC?0 -
As was said - download mp3tag onto PC
Run it.
Using the Open Folder dialogue, and with the SD card connected to the PC, navigate to the folder containing the mp3 files. Open this folder within mp3tag, and you will have a list of mp3 files and the ability to amend their tags.
I find that setting Album to the actual album name, and Sort Album to something like "1974 Crime of the Century" or "1972 Close to the Edge" works for me
Likewise, setting Sort Artist to "Taylor, James" or "Wonder, Stevie" fits my sense of logic, but you may prefer to look for them under J or S.
If you have the music on your PC, you may want to look at re-tagging that, then copying to the phone, rather than just editing the phone data0 -
I have my music on an SD card for use on my Samsung A6 tablet. It is an excellent way of storing and playing music without us. ing the memory on the tablet itself. I use of MP3 app but like the origin OP I have been unable to amend any details on the tablet. In fact I lost all my music on the SD card and I had to start all over again. So naturally I am somewhat nervous about attempting the change details of artists, songs or albums in fear on the same thing happening again. I don't have all the music on my PC so the option mentioned above of retagging then copying is none suitable in my case, Can I use the USB with the SD card inserted with micro card reader. Once connected how exactly do I open the folder. In comes up in the F drive showing as Mp3 recordings, but it does now show in the same fashion as it does with SD card inserted in my tablet with song title , artist, album etc. Am I looking in the incorrect place as in view of what happened recently I want to be exactly sure of my facts before attempting the changes I would ideally like to make. Thank you0

I havr been wondering how to do this for ages without sucess. It would make organising the music on my SD card sò much easier and user friendly. I have now downloaded an MP3Tag app what happens next. I will place my SD csrd into the reader then into a USB port on my PC. Then do I go to the MP3Tag which at the moment is blank. Will it pick up the music from my SD card automatically or do I have to do something manually before rearranging the artists and songs into a more structured format. This will be very useful when making up playlists on my SD card.0

Once you have made all the changes I recommend that you backup your music files onto your pc in case you have problems with your sd card in the future.0
