The DVLA and PE have the usual 30 day time period (from end of last week) to respond to the initial GDPR breach notifications, unless they request more time. But I will update as they respond. Thanks for your support.
I am very glad if you pursue this by reporting the DVLA and (separately, has to be a separate complaint) ParkingEye to the ICO.
People caught by double dip scams should ALWAYS do this, in fact you could sue ParkingEye and the DVLA if you fancy giving that a go, and seek compensation.Lidl and Asda don’t use Parking Eye btwPRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes they do. Both of them. Sadly.
Totally - it's not about the outcome for me at all (but I'm not giving up on that), it's the being a pain in the A that counts more for me and encouraging other to be pains in the A too - Thanks for the tip about separate reports to the ICO.
What a shame so many stores use PE, but on the bright side if it happens to me again, imagine the fun I'll have going for them a second time : )))0 -
Ooo, how exciting, I’ve just discovered on various social media channels the entrepreneurial spirited people who charge £10, £12, £18 etc for handling your double dip parking charge appeal for you. At the risk of perhaps being told by a minority here “yes yawn we the seasoned of this forum already know”, i’m just sharing my joy when learning new things with the unseasoned on this subject0

AmaniA, It is good to see that you are finding out all this new stuff.
You might want to look at some review sites for feedback on some of these 'entrepreneurial spirited people'.
Here's one to start you off, note Trustpilot's comment at the top.0 -

Hmmm...
My comment about ‘entrepreneurial spirited people’ was pure sarcasm. And i’ve just been chucked off and blocked from a FB Page for trying to suggest to another DD victim that they should come to this forum for free advice rather than pay some guy that “they’ were recommending £10 to handle his appeal.
But please continue and explain your accusation... or perhaps you’re that ‘entrepreneurial spirited’ person from that FB page...0 -

You seem to have to come a long way in a short period time with your knowledge
So it's fair to say you don't come here with clean hands.
I come here with a business degree, a senior executive role for many years in Chambers of Commerce and professional experience and qualifications in marketing and PR. But please continue to justify your comment about me not having clean hands that’s a comment worthy of a report to the forum team for sure...0 -
I am pleased for you. I hope that makes you happy.0

Being mistrusted for good prior legal knowledge (pre-forum) and a fast ability to learn and apply learning, i’m very happy with that : )0
