    Morning all
The sun is out and I have all the upstairs windows open :j. I must keep my eye on the weather though as it looks watery over the mountain top.
I shall have pottering day after I've emptied the DW. ( shhhhhhhhhh I think Mr Fix It is emptying it now :T ) I need to try to finish going through the photo boxes too, I wish I hadn't started that, as it's not the quick job I thought it was going to be :(. I also have to look for my repeat script to put in at my surgery, it's here somewhere safe, tooooo safe :think:
This afternoon we are on school pick up, then take the DGC home and let Jasper out. I shall cook tea while DGS and Mr Fix It probably take Jasper for a walk. We will wait until either SiL, who has parents evening, or DD who has a meeting in the capital, arrive home to take over :D
I worked out the journey to Brighton from my nearest train station ......... takes between 4.15 hrs and 6.15 hrs and 3 changes . Somewhere in the middle sounds a lot better for me, plus I haven't had my jabs yet to get into Englndshire :rotfl:.
Happy birthday JackieO :bdaycake:have a lovely day.
Snoozer I'm like you very un - emotional in front of others.
Holly enjoy your time at your brothers.
Hester I'm sorry. Just when I thought things were moving along smoothly with the tenant
Nelski your Mum is not the only one :(. I've had several set toos with Dad about leaving his garage and his car unlocked every day  Can't work out if it's an age thing or just him.

    Hugs to all
    nan xx

Happy Birthday JackieO. I hope you have a lovely day and I know you'll be spoiled rotten (deservedly so) by your family :)

    :bdaycake:
  • I'm back from the PO and Aldi, have been blown to b*ggery in the process. I would rather rain than wind, am like Mehefin's mares. I particularly dislike grit being blown in my eyes, specs don't really stop that. Still, my shopping is done and I've got a bar of chocolate to share. With hazelnuts in. That's for this evening.

Snoozer I'm the same and I tend to keep it all inside and that is not healthy.

I'm staying in now, hoping for a less stormy day tomorrow.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
  • Afternoon ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) 9f you need one.

Bad night last night still awake at 2.39am. Had to do a quick shuffle this morning to get off to the physio. It was slinging it down with rain, so a slower journey, several of the roads were flooded. More exercises for my hand, another massage session and more exercises.

Called in at the car wash, the car was filthy, it was worth £6 to get it washed.

The rain has stopped and we have sun and blue sky, but the wind......is something else.

Happy birthday Jackie O, I hope you have a lovely day with your family.

Yesterday I went over to see the lady who had lost her leg below the knee, she is doing really well, dropping her carers and doing a lot more for herself. Sh had a trail run with her prosthesis yesterday, she was walking with it. Some slight adjustments to be made, she should get it at the end of the month.

Supper, quiche and salad. OH is having a jacket spud, I will just have salad. I have also cooked up a beef and bean stew in the PKP for the freezer. I did manage to get the right meat this time!!
  • Just delurking to say Happy Birthday Jackie O. Have a lovely day.
I read along most days but don't post much but I couldn't let your special day pass.uncongratulated

  • Another one here de lurking to wish JackieO a fabulous day.

Snoozer, I have been following your journey with you DM as it as it has a lot of similarities to that of when I was helping my DF, who used to go out on his buggy and leave the house open a the keys were to fiddly / lost / dropped etc. as time has moved on I am genuinely thinking of writing down some of his "adventures".

I've been lurking this week a I came down with my first bug in years where I mainly ended up in bed, I was up yesterday and I'm up and dressed today, contemplating re stocking the bird feeders as I don't want to lose them in the garden.

    Afternoon all,

Happy birthday Jackie O......enjoy your day and lap up all the spoiling......you richly deserve it for being such a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend..

Cold and showery here today, DGD6 was here for the morning,.she tucked into the Danish pastry Daideo brought from the shop when he went for the paper....having had her 2 Weetabix and a banana before she left home.

Hester.....more trouble with ex tenant? Best to leave her to DD.

Csarina.....you make me feel guilty at condition of my car, it really needs a wash.

Holly.....you are doing so well, enjoy your stay with your brother.

Gers.....good luck with the shoe declutter, I need to do similar but always seem to find a reason to keep them all when I look in my shoe cupboards.....some day.

Dumpling.......sorry that things are so difficult for you at present..

    TA......hugs.

Hugs to all I have not mentioned....memory failing.......would be interested in a meet up wherever during the summer.......depending on flight prices.

    Take care everybody

    Marie

Purple kitten, I think you mean Nelski (it's so easy to get confused when you're reading the thread, I know I've done it).

Unfortunately Steve has gone downhill again, bad head, sore throat and temp of nearly 39. I'm at the end of my tether.

In other news I got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed the kitchen floor, it needed it, despite using the steam cleaner on it regularly.
