i'm new to this forum, any forum infact so i was wondering if you guys could help me.
I got my blackberry curve in Jan this year on a 24 month contract, i actually hate this phone! So i googled "how to get out of you orange contract" and websites everywhere say that if they break their contract (putting prices up) i can terminate the contract. It also says you have to go over you minutes, which i never do. But some people say they have cancelled theres by saying, IF they go over their minutes.
Funnily enough i get a text this afternoon saying "we're increasing the price of your monthly plan by 4.3% from the 8th of Jan 2012. Please visit orange world co u/r/planupdate for more info"
I've looked on then website and understand nothing, so i really hope someone could help. Thanks Kirsty

hi i just had a text message from orange stating that they are increasing the price of my monthly plan by nearly 5% from feb1 2012 i signed the 2 year contract in feb of this year at £45pcm. does the increasing of my bill mean a breach of contract by orange and will this give me grounds for termination. when i signed the contract there was no mention of increase's0

Can anyone help me....I took out new 24mth contract with orange on 7th dec and on 20 dec the handset was freezing and connection failed everytime a call was made. I took phone back to shop together with receipt on 21st which is 2wks after purchase and was told i was not covered by 14 day moneyback guarantee cos i was a day over (day 15) they say. All mobile phones work in my house except blackberry which i bought. Orange say they will not replace for alternate handset or cancel contract and must have same handset again. What is the law and t's and c's i signed say nothing. Please can someone advise.0

You can possibly claim that the product was not fit for purpose as its purpose is to work properly for the duration of your contract (although you won't be able to cancel your contract on these grounds) and they should offer a repair/replacement.
Although it may have to be done under manufacturers warranty. I'm sure someone will be able to give you a more informative answer, but it's really all to do with being persistent with these phone companies.0 -
