you would think that the UK management team might step in and do something if the indian call centre was being decimated due to the pandemic. Perhaps it was the uk management team that wrote this email. (or maybe it was the employee who was assigned to trust pilot, seeing as he has some free time on his/her hands at the moment)0

Strange then that they're still badgering people to take smart meters,no?.
I've had two calls in 2.5 weeks, neighbour has had three in 3 weeks, would'nt it make some kind of sense for them to log that you've said no thanks,so that they dont repeatedly call you back.
Maybe they should move those staff to customer service for the time being, just a thought.0 -
Absolute joke how they try to justify their whacky estimates and appalling customer service. This nonsense was going on even before Covid.

I've been told that any refunds to customers (e.g. me) will take place second week of June. There was a bit of back-and-forth between myself and the customer service rep on forgiving them for the £30 (late bill) and £30 (no payment in 10 business days) compensation, but they relented. We'll see if I see any of the money. Luckily I got a formal complaint in ages ago, which I can take to the ombudsman soon (once it reaches 8 weeks).0

My actual for May was 307 units against their forecast of 495. For June they seem to think I will use even more electricity than January and estimated it as 542 units.0

Ok. I've done the crazy thing and signed up for Symbio. Supply goes live on 5 June. I'm fairly confident that I can keep on top of things by carefully managing them. I've opted for the summer/winter fixed DD payments which should hopefully avoid their crazy predictions.
What's the accepted wisdom for the dates to provide opening and subsequent meter readings?
I was planning to give the opening reading on the day of the switch then on the last day of each month.0 -

Suits me as that means no DD taken for that month and then leaves me with less credit when I leave at the end of summer.
